How the Soviet front-wheel drive was born
Samara was released for almost three decades. First, the well-known hatchbacks VAZ-2108 and VAZ-2109 in various modifications, then the VAZ-21099 sedan was added to them, which became one of the most prestigious cars in the country.
From the end of 1990, first-generation cars gradually began to displace Samara family cars - the VAZ-2113 and -2114 hatchbacks and the VAZ-2115 sedan. Over the long life of the two families on the basis of production versions here and abroad, where Samara sold very well in the 1980s, they created many rare - small-scale modifications and even single prototypes.
