Control

The black and silver box of the Fujida Neo 8000 radar detector looks stylish. However, its contents will not disappoint the buyer. The gadget is made in a classic form factor for such devices. On the upper plane are four keys that are responsible for all the settings. They are signed, but, without looking at the explanations, sorting out their purpose is a momentary matter. On the left of the detector, connectors are grouped for connecting to a computer and a car network, as well as a volume control wheel. The latter may seem to some an archaic solution, but this is the best option - simple and providing instant access. The case of the device, by the way, is made of a pleasant to the touch, non-slip matte plastic.
Equipment
The kit included with the radar detector is very generous. This is not often seen in more expensive models. Even a couple of spare fuses is by no means a trifle! They burn out extremely rarely, but who wants to be left without an assistant on a long journey? The power cord is made wisely: it provides a “through” outlet. If your car has only one cigarette lighter socket, by connecting a detector to it, you will still be left with a free socket.

Fujida Neo 8000 offers three types of mounts at once: an adhesive mat with a company logo, an arm with a pair of suction cups and a magnet for mounting on the dashboard. The latter is a small kruglyash, which is glued to plastic using double-sided tape. Its dimensions are small, so it will not spoil the appearance of the cabin. You don’t need to sculpt anything on the gadget itself, it magnetizes to the base itself. True, this option is suitable only for cars where the dashboard has a sufficient horizontal plane.
Camera base
You can download the latest version of the base of stationary cameras and firmware from the official website of the manufacturer fujida.su. Nowadays, there is nowhere without a GPS informer: radar-free complexes have sprung up on the roads, which the detector can’t warn about. They record violations of marking requirements, rules for stopping and driving intersections, and also measure speed (both actual and average).
Fujida Neo 8000 warns about all the complexes, except for a few, installed just a couple of weeks ago. But at this speed, they do not fall into the database of even the most advanced devices. If the cameras measure the average speed on a segment of the track, the device displays on the screen and it. The driver always stays informed if he does not violate traffic rules. By the way, if for some reason you do not want to hear warnings about complexes of a particular type, you can turn them off via the menu.
Detector operation

During the trip, the radar part of the Fujida Neo 8000 worked "excellent": false positives - a minimum. Moreover, to reduce them, both an effective system for recognizing false signals and a thoughtful set of settings are used. So, Smart mode automatically adjusts the sensitivity of the radar detector depending on the speed of the vehicle. In fact, the driver does not even need to manually change the settings of the gadget, he will do everything on his own. There are familiar modes, but they are only called unusual: instead of the usual “Cities” and “Trails”, Fujida has “Moscow”, “Kazakhstan” and “Russia”. In the first, the radar part is completely turned off, and the Neo 8000 works as a GPS informer. This block of settings needs to be used in the cities. The two remaining modes are for suburbs and routes. Recognition of Strelka and Chris complexes encountered on the test route did not cause difficulties for the detector.
Settings and options
The functionality and set of settings of the radar detector is the envy of many. For example, not everyone has the function to automatically adjust the brightness of the display. With it, the driver does not need to be distracted from the road if, for example, the weather has changed dramatically. Along with the basic set (turning on / off the detection of individual emission ranges, auto-muting the sound, setting speed thresholds for signaling when the radar part is exceeded or turned off), there are several original “chips”.
The Fujida Neo 8000 has a weak signal filter. It works as follows. The gadget shows the level of radiation caught on a scale from one to nine (the more, the stronger the signal). If you set the filter to "four", all alerts below this level will not be accompanied by a voice warning. As a rule, all false sources of alarm remain below the border of three to four units, so the function perfectly helps to combat false positives.
The radar detector provides the ability to adjust the speed readings displayed on the display. The gadget uses GPS for this. But the standard speedometer of all cars slightly overspeeds, which causes a discrepancy. By adjusting the satellite data (from one to seven percent), you can achieve the same numbers on the Neo 8000 and the dial of the instrument cluster.
Another interesting feature is the AntiSon function and a reminder of the outdated camera database. The first does not allow the driver to fall asleep on a long road: the device periodically gives an audible signal to which the owner must respond. The second indicates the need to download a new set of coordinates for the GPS-informer, if the driver himself has not been doing this for a long time.
