Of course, no disaster has yet occurred. The consumption is small, the engine does not show any signs of illness, and fuel appetite has grown within reasonable limits due to the onset of winter. In other words, it is unlikely that we will find a serious malfunction when opening the engine, and it’s ridiculous to go to a dealer with such trouble: the oil leaves within the limits allowed by the manufacturer. Another thing is that a VAZ aspirated with a mileage of just over 50, 000 km should not so consume oil in principle. This problem was manifested on VAZ engines with a working volume of 1.8 liters, and the plant finalized its design (cylinder head, crankcase ventilation system, some components). But we have something time-tested 1.6. Findings? It is too early to do them, but anxiety for the engine has appeared.

However, this winter (which is difficult to name by temperature and amount of snow and winter) the indicator again caught my attention. Previously, on a warm car, he showed from 80 to 95 degrees. Now, in motion, the arrow points exactly to 70. Above - only when the engine is stationary. At first, as before, I took this for the error of the device. But then I noticed that I unconsciously set the stove settings to others: the fan speed was higher, the temperature was higher. This is definitely a problem with the thermostat. In the near future we will contact her to the dealer.
