READY FOR A ROOF FOR WINTER
M. Zhidkov, Nizhny Novgorod
I found that in my Corolla, in severe frosts, after a long warm-up of the passenger compartment, water began to flow from the ceiling through the ceiling light. I found an original way out of this situation: I removed the skin of the ceiling and covered it with self-adhesive noise insulation. I managed to check the result last winter: no more leaks were observed. At the same time, the sound of raindrops on the roof is now barely audible.
STORAGE AND BEDROOM
F. Galeev, Tuymazy
In the trunk of my crossover Renault Duster 4 × 2 there are no niches for small things. I decided to place small items under the trunk floor.
To do this, I made a frame measuring 900 × 970 mm from a board with a section of 30 × 75 mm and attached it to the standard rings for fixing luggage. From plywood 10 mm thick I cut out the top cover measuring 940 × 990 mm and sawed it in half. He covered all the surfaces with Carpet. He killed two birds with one stone: the extra insert not only became an additional storage place for small things, but also raised the trunk floor - and now with the rear seatbacks folded down, you get an even two-meter “bed”.

In VAZ automobiles of the tenth family, flexible boards are installed in the rear light housings. Over time, they bend, as a result, contact disappears between the lamp and the board. In order not to change the boards, I solder a drop of solder to the central contact of the bulb with a soldering iron. The increased contact height guarantees a reliable connection. If the lamp does not click into the holder, then file the contact a bit with a file and try on again. I always carry a couple of modified lamps with me. And even installed them on other cars with flashlights of a similar design.

Many car owners find it difficult to replace lamps in fog lights: you have to remove the mudguards, and sometimes the wing flaps. For my Chevrolet Niva, I purchased two revision hatches at a watercraft store, cut them into the fenders opposite the fog lights and secured them with self-tapping screws. Now, when replacing the lamps, it is enough to turn the wheels and unscrew the cover. The hand easily passes into the hatch along with the lamp. For greater aesthetics, you can paint the hatches black.
S. Mitin, Arkhangelsk Region
I purchased a 2016 Kia Rio car and immediately noticed that in the dark the backlight of the devices shines too brightly - it blinds, but there is no dimmer control (it is installed on cars in rich trim levels. - Ed.) I resorted to simple and inexpensive way: toned a combination of devices, choosing a film with such a light transmission so that the devices can be seen both day and night. Dismantling and installation of the visor did not cause any difficulties - it is mounted on clips.

In ZAZ Chance vehicles, the front passenger rubber mat does not cover the entire floor area. The pile under the right leg is frayed and dirty. I found a way out by attaching a skin flap with micro hooks. In this way, you can protect the pile in other cars - you just need to make the appropriate pattern.
