Sweeping brushes are a common commodity, paying attention to which is somehow not accepted. I bought the first one and threw it in the trunk. Is it convenient to use? Where is it made? At best, you’ll appreciate the size and look at the price tag. Do not like it - you can always buy another. For comparison, we purchased two dozen different brushes. And they quickly realized: building them according to ranking is useless. The prices for each vary almost twice - depending on the place of sale, and the differences sometimes come down only to unpronounceable oriental names. And who, with the magazine in his hands, will rush to look for a certain brush on the shelves? Therefore, we will only outline the general principles according to which you need to choose a “groomer”.
The basis is often made from inexpensive plastics that are afraid of everything in the world - shocks, frosts and even ultraviolet radiation. Therefore, polycarbonate products that persist in these troubles are preferred. Such brushes are transparent, and the color of the handle is the same throughout the thickness.
Now about the bristles. Which is better - soft or harder? The stiff one looks better even with thick snow, and the brush does not hurt the bodywork - it is strong enough. For the sake of fearful customers, products with fluffy bristles (with the likeness of brushes at the ends) are produced - there is no particular benefit from this, but the heart is calmer.

Almost every brush is equipped with a scraper. Its main task is to break ice from the glass, so it must be resistant to shock loads in frost. It is impossible to predict the behavior of the scraper, but remember that crappy plastic, which does not bend at room temperature at all, will quickly break in the cold. Polycarbonate scraper lasts longer. The handle should be covered with soft porous material like foam rubber, then in the cold you can do without gloves. And if you still want to use a long brush, make sure that the thermal pad is placed in a convenient place, and not somewhere near the bristles. And I also want the brush to have an airtight cover, where it can be hidden after the next fight with snow - so as not to breed moisture in the trunk.

Never use to remove ice:
- CDs - more precisely, their halves. It will not be possible to break exactly - there will be torn edges, which means that scratches will appear on the paint. Boxes from discs are also not suitable: plastic is thin and crumbles in the cold - it will end up breaking the box and ruining your mood;
- bank cards: they are, of course, safe for glasses, but you’ll definitely disfigure the card itself. However, there is a chance to create the most expensive scraper in history;
- wiper blades: it’s of little use, and I feel sorry for the brushes;
- metal scrapers
