Checking the condition of the chassis and transmission is carried out every 15 thousand kilometers.
The chassis parts (wheels, suspension arms, anti-roll bar, front suspension subframe, rear suspension beam, shock absorbers and suspension springs) and the transmission (front drive shafts) must not have deformations, cracks or other mechanical damages affecting the shape and strength parts.
By alternately hanging the front and rear wheels (while the car must be securely fixed on the stands), we check the condition of the wheel hub bearings.
Attention! Use only factory-made coasters
The wheel by hand should rotate evenly, without jamming or knocking.

Holding the wheel in a vertical plane, alternately sharply pull the upper part of the wheel towards itself, and the lower part from itself, and vice versa.
We are convinced of the absence of play (knocking). If there is a knock on the front wheel, we ask the assistant to press the brake pedal. If at the same time the knock is gone, then the hub bearing is defective, and if the knock remains - then, most likely, the ball bearing is worn.
The bearings of the hubs of the front and rear wheels are not adjustable and, if there is any play, must be replaced.
To check the serviceability of the ball joint, insert the mounting blade between the eye of the steering knuckle (which includes the ball joint pin) and the suspension arm.

Squeezing the lever from the steering knuckle with a large screwdriver or mounting blade, we monitor the movement of the ball bearing housing relative to the eye of the steering knuckle.
If there is play in the connection, replace the ball bearing.

We check the condition of the protective covers of the ball bearings of the front suspension.
Replace ball joints with torn or cracked covers.
To check the silent block of the front suspension arm…

… one by one we insert the mounting blade in a row between the subframe and the end face of the outer sleeve of the silent block, on the one hand, and the subframe and the lever head, on the other side of the silent block …
… and try to move the lever head along the axis of the bolt, first to one side and then to the other side. If the lever head moves freely, without effort, it means that the silent block of the lever is very worn or damaged and must be replaced.
Tears, cracking and expansion of the rubber sleeve of the silent block are not allowed. Similarly, we check the state of another silent block of the lever.

We examine the pillows of the anti-roll bar.
If tears, cracking, or severe deformation are found on rubber pads, they must be replaced.
Holding the stabilizer bar next to its lever mount point …

… sharply swing the bar up and down.
If there is a play in the connection of the stabilizer bar with the front suspension arm, we replace the rubber bushings of the rod mounting screw to the lever.
To check the condition of the silent block of the arm of the rear suspension beam …

… insert the mounting blade vainly between the body bracket and the end of the outer hinge sleeve and try to move the lever head along the axis of the bolt.
If, at the same time, tears or delamination of the hinge rubber are detected, then we replace the silent block.
We check the condition of the springs and shock absorbers …

… and the rear suspensions.
Suspension springs must not be damaged. Tears, cracking, and severe deformation of rubber bushings, pads, and shock absorber compression buffers are not permitted.
Leakage of liquid from shock absorbers is not allowed. Slight "fogging" of the shock absorber in its upper part while maintaining the characteristics is not a malfunction.
Rotating and turning the front wheels alternately …

… inspect the outer protective covers …
… and the internal joints of the front wheel drives, we check the reliability of their fastening with clamps. Cracked, torn or loose elastic covers must be replaced.
The cover of the internal hinge of the drive of the left wheel should be hermetically fixed on the transmission case.

Oil leakage from the gearbox through the cover 1 and the oil seal 2 of the inner left-hand drive hinge is not allowed.

If there is a leak, replace the seal.
In addition to the chassis and transmission, it would be nice to carry out an audit of the brake system (link) and steering (link).
