Now Nissan is ready to sell charged modifications of mass models under the name Nismo (the word is made from Nissan Motorsport).
The attack on the European market began with "Dzhuk": a popular crossover with a youth image is the best suited for a bright start. Based on the 190-strong modification, which even without additional refinement is considered the most sporty and catchy model in the segment. In general, fertile material for work. She is thrilled! I don’t remember such a lively reaction to the car. Here in Spain - carmakers often give presentations near Barcelona - both young and old look at the Juk Nismo with all their eyes. And there is something. Stylish body kit even more invigorated "Dzhuka". The beveled front bumper with a formula splitter is especially effective. A rather large spoiler grew on the roof rear, and a nozzle flashed on the exhaust pipe of an impressive diameter. The headlights are darkened in a fashionable way, LEDs are built into the bumper, the radiator grille is pulled up. I like this “Juk" much more! The body kit had a positive effect on aerodynamics: at high speeds, the lifting force on both axles decreased.
On the highway, “Nismo” behaves in a peculiar way: it does not let you relax, all the time it requires increased attention from the driver. A little distracted - the crossover changes the trajectory. But on the mountain serpentine I enjoyed. Thanks to the stiffer suspension, the Dzhuk more confidently passes corners, recklessly screwing into them and not frightening the crew with banks. Low-profile 18-inch wheels also helped (on the regular version, they are 17-inch).

The main thing here is not to make a mistake with the choice of transmission in a clearly working 6-speed mechanics (such a box is exclusively for the front-wheel drive modification of the Juka). After all, the turbo engine does not have high elasticity: for assertive acceleration, you need to keep the tachometer needle at 2500, and preferably 3000 rpm. The increase in power at Nismo is small: with the new control program, only ten were added to the standard 190 forces.
A ride on the version with a CVT, which is combined only with four-wheel drive. It goes in a different way, which is not surprising: instead of an elastic beam, the rear suspension is independent. The smoothness of the variator version is better - the shocks in the cabin are noticeably weaker, however, a buildup appeared on the road waves. But the tendency to change course has disappeared: you do not need to constantly taxi. This "Dzhuk" allowed to go relaxed, without excessive concentration. Yes, less sportiness, but the version with the mechanics did not burn with a sultry temperament. In fact, both of these “jukas” are primarily dudes, not athletes.

Nissan did not hide this fact: they admitted that they were developing a really hot modification, and then they rolled out a camouflaged prototype. They allowed us to drive on it for only a couple of minutes, but this was enough to understand: the car turned out wonderful. The engine, thanks to a more efficient turbine unit, already produces 220 hp. And this is immediately felt: the start is accompanied by a hefty slap in the headrest, and the back is tangibly pressed into a chair. The ground clearance is reduced by a substantial 50 mm, which makes the Juk much more stable in corners, as if it were not a crossover, but a sports coupe. In a word, there is much more adrenaline from him. Here it is, a full-fledged Nismo product. I hope you don’t have to wait long for the arrival of such “jukes” in dealerships.
