Before us is "Burner" and "Consul Winter." Both models are of unknown origin, and their prices are similar. By the way, these products are not more expensive than conventional wipers of a famous brand.
The fact that such brushes do not freeze, it became clear during laboratory tests: at room temperature for a couple of minutes their plates were heated to hundreds of degrees. Forty watts per brush - yes it's a soldering iron! There were even fears: will the windshield crack? The only hope is low thermal conductivity of the gum and a small cross-sectional area near the line of contact with the glass.
Well, it’s winter in the yard, it’s minus ten on the thermometer, it’s also snowing - we’ll go to full-scale tests. Of course, the water on the glass of the brush was not brought to a boil, but the snow was melted easily. But to remove the ice did not work. It is understandable: how much heat will pass through the thin edge of the gum? Hence the conclusion: the benefit of such brushes is only that they themselves do not freeze and remain operational. But without blowing glass and morning work with a scraper, you still can not do.
Even after five minutes of operation of the heated brushes, the ice on the glass did not disappear

What I didn’t like right away was the need to connect to the cigarette lighter socket or outlet: they are inside the car, and the street wipers are on. You will have to pull the wire with the connector on the end (thanks at least that its diameter is only 10 mm) through the motor shield, and this is not so simple. As for laying wires on leashes and further under the hood, there are no particular difficulties. But why did the manufacturers stint to invest in kits cheap plastic mounting clamps? The client should not run after them on shops!
The measurements of the consumed currents and heating temperature showed that there is practically no difference between the sets. Unless the “Consul” is designed only for “hook” type fastenings, and adapters for all occasions are attached to the “Burner” brushes. But on the first, the back side is made in the form of a spoiler, although hardly anyone drives so fast in winter that the brushes come off the glass. In a word, the desire to urgently acquire something similar for everyday use did not arise.
