Indeed, in his appearance sports features are much more than walking. It is not surprising: “Bars” is produced by the Kazan company “HALEX-Motorsport”, known for its mini-buggies, where young athletes compete in the Russian championship in autocross. Perhaps, there are only two fundamental differences from purebred cross cars in Bars: a complete set of lighting equipment and a seat for a passenger. The rest is proven racing solutions: spatial frame, layout of units, independent suspensions and more. It is important that most components, including the engine, steering, brakes, suspensions, are of domestic production. There will be no problems with the repair and search for spare parts. And the price does not bite.

Our copy is not quite ordinary, because it is equipped with options - an automatic transmission from Toyota Corolla and all-terrain tires. They didn’t mean the last asphalt driving, and we decided to test the Bars in our native environment - on the CSKA cross-country track in the Kalininets settlement near Moscow.

Winter walks with the Bars are for real men. It’s very cold in the open car, but interesting. When the bent fingers are seized with frost, you are imbued with gratitude to the machine - there is no need to tear off your palms from the steering wheel. And if the car is deployed on an icy stretch of track, it will not stall. I turned the wheels in the right direction, pressed the gas - and you’re going on yourself.

While the track was sprinkled with loose snow, Bars demonstrated its best qualities. For a rear-wheel drive without cross-axle locking, its maneuverability is impressive. But on loose surfaces, one can only dream of high speeds. Slightly less than 90 hp coupled with a gun allow you to move confidently, but not recklessly rush. And when all-terrain tires tore off loose snow and in some areas it became slippery, a new misfortune appeared: a sharp breakdown in a drift. Blame the tires. Of course, against the background of increased speeds. Thanks to a sufficiently large angle of rotation of the front wheels, the skid was parried off, but at the same time it was necessary to twist the steering wheel fairly. In the cold is not scary. Remember the winged “I won’t catch up, so I’ll warm myself up”

But what about the delicate work of gas? With her legs in winter boots and with thoughtful reactions of the machine, it turned out to be problematic. Test pilots issued a single verdict: we drive loose snow with all-terrain tires. And when the road to ice was rolled out, studded tires are already needed here.

Therefore, our instance with a gun and evil tires in the winter is more inclined to walks. On a cross track, a modification with mechanics and studded tires would be much more convenient. And in the warm season, both versions can be turned into “asphalt” ones by the usual change of “shoes” and suspension settings.

By the way, “Bars” has another name: double buggy D3 / A. Letters and numbers indicate the racing division in which this vehicle can perform. It remains to add that Bars is 450 thousand rubles in the basic configuration.
