Replacing the front brake pads
We replace the pads in the case of the maximum allowable wear of their pads - the minimum thickness of the pads, including its base, must be at least 6 mm. The pads also need to be updated in case of oiling the pads, if deep grooves, cracks, chips are detected. It is necessary to work on a flat platform, a viewing ditch or overpass. If the fluid level in the tank of the hydraulic brake actuator is at MAX, then before installing new pads with a syringe or rubber bulb, we pump out part of the fluid from the tank. Remove the front wheel. Before installing new pads, it is necessary to move the piston of the brake mechanism to the inside of the working cylinder.

Replacing the rear brake pads
Replacement works are shown for the all-wheel drive modification of the Duster (for a 4x2 variant the procedure is different), on the left rear wheel. Before removing the brake drum, lower the parking cable lever all the way - the car must be released. We remove the rear wheel and securely fix the car on the factory-manufactured support stand. To remove the drum, the pads need to be reduced.

Before installing new pads, we clean the threads of the spacer tip and ratchet nut and apply a thin layer of grease to the threads. We install the mechanism for automatically adjusting the gap to its original state by manually screwing the tip of the spacer bar into the hole of the bar (the thread on the tip of the spacer bar and ratchet nut is right). Install the new brake pads on the rear wheel in the reverse order. Before installing the drum of the brake mechanism, we clean its working surface with a metal brush from dirt and wear products of the pads.
