We checked the functionality, durability, resource - and approved for the conveyor.

Eton, as a great master of his craft, thoroughly approached the project. Assembled a mechanism from proven parts used on most machines in the US market. But the design is original, different than, for example, for Ford or GM models. At the request of GAZ, Eton put four gears of the satellites, as it was done in their own Gazelle, so that a large torque could be transmitted. ELocker fits perfectly into the factory bridge, is simply mounted and requires a minimum of modifications - one hole in the gear case for wires.
GAZ also has its own successful axle locking solutions, but they have given preference to the American ELocker: simpler, cheaper, more reliable and, ultimately, better. From the first meeting to the first conveyor car a little more than a year has passed. By modern standards, a good result.

It will not work out on its own: by agreement with the factory, dealerships will not sell the lock without installation. This is probably justified. It’s easier to control build quality.
If I needed a gazelle right now, I would pay extra for a “four-wheel drive” without hesitation. It’s better to ride badly than to push well.
