About 170 thousand cars drive through the intersection daily between Profsoyuznaya Street, Teply Stan and Novoyasenevsky Prospekt. Here there are streams of cars of the residents of Yasenevo and the inhabitants of the annexed territories aspiring to the capital. Two traffic lights complicate the situation at the intersection, the distance between which is only about 100 m, which is why many kilometers of traffic jams occur. Moscow Deputy Mayor for Construction Marat Khusnullin promises that the situation in the South-West will improve in June. The six-lane overpass under construction (three lanes in each direction) along the main course of Profsoyuznaya Street with a length of almost a kilometer should solve the problem. In addition, the construction of three-lane side driveways along the overpass, the construction of single-lane reversal exits in the under-deck space, as well as the construction of a driveway for direct traffic from Teply Stan Street to Novoyasenevsky Prospekt, have been planned here. The right lane of the Trade Union, according to tradition, will be entirely transferred to the power of public transport.

Construction work at this roundabout began last summer, and initially it was planned to complete the reconstruction only by 2014, but Mosinzhstroy took on the task faster and promises to start the movement of cars already in June this year. For this, the progress of work is accelerated - they are going around the clock, and more than 300 people are employed in them in total.
Scheme
As explained to us at the construction headquarters, the overpass above Profsoyuznaya Street is being erected by an unusual method - the so-called cyclic longitudinal slide (CPN). This ensures the continuity of construction, allowing work at low temperatures. The main principle of the CPN method is that the sections of the span are concreted in the formwork, and after tensioning the reinforcement, the structure moves into the span, separating from the formwork without disassembling it. In the freed structure, a reinforcing cage is installed for concreting the next section of the span. Then the cycle repeats.
Overpass
Even the snowfall does not interfere with the work on the flyover Even the snowfall does not interfere with the work on the flyover Even the snowfall does not interfere with the work on the flyover
The builders work not on the flyover itself, under the snow and wind, but in a temporary shelter, where the positive air temperature is constantly maintained. There, stationary formwork is manufactured and installed, which is used for the further manufacture of the reinforcing cage, tensioning of high-strength reinforcement and concreting of span sections.
This method is widely used in many countries of Western Europe and the United States, and in Russia it was previously used in the construction of the Third Ring Road, transport interchanges near the Moscow City international business center, and overpasses at the MKAD intersection with Novorizhskoye and Leningradskoye Shosse.
Comment
Marat Khusnullin, deputy mayor of the capital for construction:
Marat Khusnullin
- Because of two traffic lights when cornering Teply Stan and Novoyasenevsky Prospekt, traffic on Profsoyuznaya Street is seriously delayed. In addition, the New Moscow begins, for the development of which it is necessary to seriously unload the exit to the Moscow Ring Road.
The main difficulty is that due to the reduction in construction time, we are building a flyover in winter conditions. In fact, it is built under the so-called greenhouses. In addition, we needed to maintain the throughput capacity of Profsoyuznaya Street, so side passages were built. And finally, the third difficulty - without blocking traffic, you need to build four pedestrian crossings.
