One way or another, but the 3008 is guaranteed to drive off-road a little further than an ordinary passenger car.
At the same time, the basic version of "Access-1.6" with a manual gearbox, very well equipped, is given for 807 thousand rubles; and if a suitable option is selected at the dealer’s warehouse, you can count on a discount of 30, 000 rubles. True, the optimal "Asset-1.6T" with automatic transmission is still quite expensive - from 982, 000 rubles. And if you wave to “Allure” with xenon, parking sensors, alloy wheels and many pleasant little things in the cabin, you will have to pay at least 1, 072, 000 rubles. This is already a little expensive.

Almost for the same money - in the region of a million - you can buy a Peugeot 4008. Being a copy of the Mitsubishi-ASX, it practically does not differ from the 3008 in size, but at the same time it looks like a full-fledged crossover. Among other advantages are four-wheel drive, ground clearance of 190 mm and the Japanese assembly. Therefore, for 999 000 rubles (and taking into account the discount even less - from 949 000 rubles), this option is very attractive.
Another thing is that the only possible 2-liter engine, although similar to 1.6T in power, loses noticeably in torque. In addition, the basic configuration put only two pillows. To get a car with a full set of seven air-bags, you have to fork out for the "Asset", which in the presence of an "automatic" is more expensive than the basic version for a substantial 140, 000 rubles. At the same time, 4008 accelerates worse than the younger brother (11.8 s versus 9.5 s), and it is controlled not so interesting. Finally, the 3008's trunk is deeper and more comfortable.
So it turns out that the choice of 4008 is justified only if all-wheel drive is required, and the trunk size, handling and safety are far from paramount. In all other cases, 3008 is more interesting - it gives more convenience, spaciousness, dynamics and pleasure. And the option with a nimble diesel engine and a 6-speed “robot” for 917, 000 rubles is a unique offer among compact crossovers.
