Maxim Sachkov, Head Department of "Novelties of Technology":
- Cars received a new design, became more attractive and more modern. All three - Logan, Sandero and Stepway - have the same, prettier front end, updates touched the back.
Significantly increased car safety. For example, pedestrian protection by changing the stiffness and shape of the hood and bumpers. The interior safety cage has been strengthened, protecting the driver and passenger upon impact. Improved visibility. At Logan in the back seat appeared Isofix child seat mounts.
In some versions of Logan, rear-row seats now fold (in two-to-one proportions). I want to note the new three-cylinder 0.9-liter, 90-horsepower turbocharged gasoline engine, which is likely to replace the existing 1.6-liter, 8-valve, 84-horsepower engine in Europe. In terms of driving performance, this motor is somewhere in the middle between the 8- and 16-valve. They claim that it is very economical, but I did not notice much efficiency: I had fuel consumption in the region of 7 l / 100 km at a speed of 90 to 110 km / h. But the engine is much quieter.
The suspension was still just as energy-intensive, impenetrable, comfortable. At Logan it is perhaps the softest, and at Stepway - the toughest, but at the same time the ground clearance of the model is higher. Engineers have worked on steering. The result - it has become more precise, blur in the near-zero zone has gone, feedback has become better at small steering angles.
Impressions of the cars as a whole - they somehow "got up", there is no longer a feeling that you are driving a good, but cheap car. This, of course, is not premium (but it is not required), but it became more pleasant, the "budget" that went through in every detail was gone. Inside, the fitting of elements and the quality of finishing materials have been improved, the control panel is now more interesting in design. The seats became more comfortable, they are more embossed, lateral support appeared. Adjusting the mirrors "moved" to the dashboard, it is much more convenient than on the tunnel between the seats. And the last - Stepway is now positioned as a completely independent model, and the appearance is more like a crossover.

As for the prospects for the production of this trinity in Russia, in the light of recent statements by Carlos Ghosn that AvtoVAZ is preparing to release a model on the B0 platform under the Renaul t brand in 2013, it is logical to assume that we are talking about the production of precisely these cars. As will be in reality - time will tell.
