However, the transmission is in no way inferior to budget robots of other brands, and even surpasses them in the switching logic and ease of use. But if, say, the 107th Peugeot for its 450, 000 rubles can still be forgiven for such behavior, then with a car for 700, 000 the demand is different. Moreover, alternatives in the form of mechanics, automatic or CVT for Smart, unfortunately, are not provided.
The liter engine is good! And in the city, and on the highway, the traction reserve is enough for peppy accelerations at any speed, and the beautiful and rich sound at the top allows you to forget that you are sitting in a tiny minicar. I think it will give out its passport 13.7 seconds of acceleration to hundreds of FoTu. I can imagine how the 84-horsepower supercharged Smart can fire, not to mention the inaccessible version of the Brabus!

It’s unfortunate that, unlike a diesel engine with a volume of champagne a bottle - the fact that my friend’s Smart has a liter petrol unit, according to my estimates, consumes insolent 9 liters in the city - twice as much! Outside the city, I managed a better result - 4.5 liters. This is closer to the passport data. The chassis for a car with a two-meter wheelbase is worthy. "Baby" confidently stands on an arc and practically does not rearrange on small irregularities.
The moderately heavy and informative steering wheel, minimal heel and acceptable ride on good roads only emphasize the high level of engineering. But the car, of course, is very demanding on the quality of the roadway: even not very large pits often lead to suspension breakdowns. Therefore, in the long run on the "Smart" I would not have set off, because the car still has no spare wheel.
