Of course, a narrow "semi-finished product" of small diameter does not replace a full tire. However, anything happens on the way. How will a lame-footed car behave in an extreme situation?
For the starting point took the car "for two." The pressure in the standard tires was checked with the manufacturer's recommendations, the speed test was limited to 80 km / h - in accordance with the dokatka capabilities. Having estimated the braking distance and the speed of rearrangement of the “normal” car, we started the exercises on the reserve, taking her place on the right along the way.
Installation on the front axle immediately affected the behavior of the car, and not in the best way. With active acceleration, he was intensively pulled towards a wider wheel (in our case, towards the oncoming lane). This disgrace stopped only after gaining speed. The same thing happened during intensive braking. Moreover, the braking distance increased by almost 3 meters!

With a dokatka on the rear axle, the changes were not so extreme, except for amplified noises and shocks. Even the braking qualities were practically not affected: a loss to the standard version was some half a meter.
To roll the rearrangement on such a stub, frankly, was scary. However, with the front end everything went without excesses: the changes came down to a deterioration in the reaction of the machine (while the steering wheel turned to the left more easily than to the right) and the information content on the steering wheel decreased. A considerable loss of speed during the maneuver is explained by a strong drift - unpleasant, but quite expected.

The rear axle was not so docile. Even at the first jerk of the steering wheel, a deep drift arose, which even the non-deactivable dynamic stabilization system could not cope with! In the second corridor, the car turned almost 90 degrees and literally pushed into the oncoming lane! And it is on clean, dry asphalt. I don’t even want to think about what could happen in the rain …

The conclusion is clear: the dokatka is fully consistent with the name. With its help, you can only get to the nearest workshop - slowly, avoiding sharp maneuvers. And they came up with a bright color not only for the owner of the car, but also for the rest of the drivers: be careful!
