Of course, first of all, the concept is interesting in terms of style. In it you will read the forms and stylistic decisions of future models of the brand. In particular, the front will look like this. Onyx, on the other hand, experimented a lot with composite materials, which were used not only in body elements, but also in the chassis. All this is done in order to reduce the weight of the machine. I don’t know how soon composite materials will be widely used on production cars, but now you need to learn how to do it.
Finally, Onyx is interesting for its interior, in which we used rough, unprocessed materials. It was decided to go from the opposite, contrary to what they do in the luxury class.

In Onyx, you will not find fine fabrics with intricate stitches sewn from many pieces. We took as a basis a simple material and a large piece. Belonging to luxury cars determines only their compatibility. The main thing is to minimize the production process in time, to spend as little energy as possible, to pollute less and so that at the end of the life cycle of the car it can be easily recycled. We abandoned upholstery elements glued to a solid base and then attached with clips to body panels. You understand that in order to use these elements repeatedly, the whole structure must first be disassembled. Accordingly, this takes time, energy, and often this activity becomes meaningless. In this case, Onyx is very environmentally friendly.

What do you say about the front panel? Do not believe it - it is made of wood. From artificial “wood” obtained from glue and pressed newsprint. Then they turned the whole piece, giving it the desired shape. Upholstery of doors, chairs and interior is made of pressed felt. You will not see a single seam. All this resembles a soft jewelry case inside.
