The first day of "60 hours" did not present any surprises. All three cars passed the 12-hour marathon with honor - nothing fell off and did not break. But some results could already be summed up. The most economical was Lada Granta, and the fastest on a 14-kilometer lap was the Chevrolet Aveo.
Surprises began on the second day. The weather made its own corrections, and a strong wind significantly reduced the average speed of cars in a circle. But soon there were other reasons that slowed down cars. At some point, Sergey Kanunnikov realized that the sudden deceleration of his Chevrolet Aveo could not be explained by any wind corrections, and decided to call on the mechanics. The decision was timely. The engine refused to gain momentum, and Sergei in second gear barely completed the lap and reached the repair zone. A thorough analysis of the situation remains to be done. It is interesting to know what representatives of the Chevrolet say? In the meantime, according to the Zarulevsky mechanics, a malfunction was detected in the operation of the ABS Aveo electronic unit, which led to a limitation of the crankshaft rotation speed and, consequently, to a loss of power. It was possible to restore the electronics by rebooting by removing the battery terminal. Aveo again runs the fastest on the highway, but he has 15 minutes of wasting time.
Statistics of the second day: Chevrolet Aveo spends 18 l / 100 km, running from gas station to gas station, on average, 238 km. Its maximum speed, measured by GPS, is 207.2 km / h, the average in the circle is 185.6 km / h.
The largest participant in the race - Largus - was able to accelerate to 187.6 km / h, it passes a circle at a speed of 167 km / h. At the same time, it consumes 17.7 l / 100 km, the average distance between gas stations is 264 km.
There are no GPS measurements by Lada Granta yet, but it clearly stands out from the competition in terms of economy, consuming 13.7 liters per hundred and refueling every 299 km.
The “economic miracle” is due to the car’s equipment: there is no radio in Lada Granta. Boring, of course, but economical! However, in every joke there is some truth: the generator does not have to work to generate electricity for the radio, which means that the engine spins more fun, albeit without a small but additional load.
The third day. Once again, cars work like clockwork. No breakdowns and surprises. The weather more or less improved, but most importantly, the gusty wind stopped. Test pilots rode in all cars both on the highway and on the cobblestone, and made up their mind about the comfort of the subjects.
