A common platform does not mean the same details. The fit was done very seriously at the company's British Research Center (NTCE). As a result, I had to sacrifice the transformation of the cabin - an additional strut appeared in the area of the rear seatback.

Unfortunately, we managed to ride only on the version with automatic transmission. And the latter, as you know, is not the first freshness. Not only is she not quick-witted, but she still has the feeling that more than one horse rested in her bowels. And the car is by no means light - almost 1300 kg of curb weight. In general, Almera was not struck by the special dynamics. Perhaps with “mechanics” there would be a different effect. But we can find out later. But the chassis pleased. On the one hand, it retained all the advantages of the ancestor (that is, Logan), such as: enormous energy intensity and large suspension moves - in a word, the ability to easily swallow very scary-looking potholes (we saw this in the special section of the landfill called “road to the dacha "). On the other hand, on a flat surface, the car behaves more civilized. Although it tilts more than we would like, it pleases with composure, good feedback in the bends and the absence of the artificial weight of the steering wheel when maneuvering, which annoys Renault Logan.
