We purchased seven of these kits and looked inside. As a rule, in a more or less convenient bag there was a warning triangle, first aid kit, fire extinguisher, cable and gloves. Reflective vests came across - it’s not a bad thing, you know, especially in the dark on an unlit road. From this list of traffic rules recognize the first three positions as absolutely necessary. For their absence, a fine of 100 rubles or a warning awaits (Art. 12.5. H. 1 of the Administrative Code). Pay ten times as much without marking the place of the accident with a triangle (Chapter 27 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation, Article 12.27, Part 1). The sign must be placed at a distance of 15 m (in cities) or 30 m (on the highway) from the car, and when towing a car with faulty flashing lights - at its rear.
GOST R 41.27–2001 presents a number of requirements for a triangle; improvisation will not work here. There are certain recommendations for choosing a fire extinguisher: according to Appendix No. 4 to the Fire Safety Manual, Safety Standards 166–97, it must be powder or carbon dioxide, with a volume of at least 2 liters. And it should be kept, generally speaking, not in the trunk, and especially not in the bag, but in an easily accessible place. Which one is not said, so everyone puts it in the trunk.
It is not necessary to carry a cable, but just the driver will put it rather than a triangle! The length of the correct cable should provide a distance between cars from 4 to 6 m, red-white flags with a retroreflective surface are attached to the cable. Finally, the compulsory first-aid kit has degenerated into a set of bandages and plasters plus a hemostatic tourniquet and a device for artificial respiration. Moreover, the quantity, length and width of each dressing are determined by order of the Ministry of Health and Social Development of the Russian Federation No. 697 n.
Looking ahead, let’s say: we faithfully unwound all the bandages and put a tape measure on them. The results, alas, are disappointing. No matter how much you pay, a set that is standard in all positions cannot be bought! First-aid kits, even though we already paid attention to it (ЗР, 2011, No. 8), are entirely swindles: everyone is stealing gauze. And lazy, in this sense, was not there again.

The Chinese emergency stop sign RT109, the authors recommend putting (rather, quit) at a distance of as much as 200 m! And it’s understandable why: it is … not reflective! There will be time to slow down when they hear a crunch under the wheels. Yes, and the size is small. The powder fire extinguisher from the company "Spetstekhnolog" refueled, not expired and the way you need it. The Resource company cable 4 m long is deprived of flags, but provided with an indication of their need (!). The hook on it is only on one side. Finally, the first-aid kit from the manufacturer of the entire set with cutting shears was marked with bandages shortened by about a meter and napkins by a centimeter. On the width of the bandages also saved.

The triangle here, although Chinese, is fully consistent with GOST. You can install it even close to the road, at least at a height of 135 mm. Not afraid of gusts of wind. Fine! The Yarpozhinvest fire extinguisher is somewhat pumped (1.6 bar instead of 1.4), but fresh. Excuse me? The rootless tow rope has two hooks at the ends, but no flags, and there is no one to complain about. Finally, a first-aid kit from NPF Miral - with the same incapable scissors and short bandages. How do you like 3 m instead of the declared seven? And is this gauze bandage crumbling in all directions?

A rootless triangle, devoid of installation instructions (and it must be!), Failed the roulette check - the sides are short. And the inner band does not fluoresce, this is also a violation of GOST. Melanti fire extinguisher is quite suitable for use: it is not expired, the pressure is normal, the volume is even more than the permissible minimum: 2.6 l! Rope again without tribe. Its length of 3.81 m will not allow you to safely tow a car, even if there are a couple of hooks. There are no flags again. And, as usual, in the first-aid kit from the Astra manufacturing enterprise not only the gauze was missing (all the bandages were almost halved), but the roll patch was simply not there!

The Chinese manufacturer of the triangle model Bolk BK01015 did not hesitate to indicate its name: FUDING Corporation. And there’s nothing to brag about: the sides are short, there are no reflective or fluorescent bands on them, the recommended installation distance is 200 m. We can’t say anything bad about the Melanti fire extinguisher. But the company "Sigma", which made the cable, is haunted by the example of pharmacists: with the 5 m indicated on the label, only 3.8 m are available! There are no hooks, instructions for knitting marine knots - either. Instead of flags, the cable itself was painted in the colors of the Russian flag. A 1 × 250 cm patch was put in the first-aid kit from the Astra manufacturing enterprise, although it is not on the list. Well, bandages, as usual, are doubled … well, of course, no longer than specified! And what are pharmacy gloves made of a plastic bag. Explicitly disposable.

There are almost no complaints about the MOV-0308 triangle from China: dimensions are normal, there are reflectors and a fluorescent band. Although the legs do not want to be fixed in the working position, the manual again sends out 200 m from the car. Forgive. The fire extinguisher of the SamZPO firm is quite on the level: it is pumped up as it should and is not “rotten”. With the MOV-0908 cable from TPF Mobile, it is worse: the length is 3 cm less than the minimum 4 m, and there are no flags. Thank you, the hooks are not forgotten to tie. The first-aid kit, assembled at the Miral NPF, is equipped with non-cutting scissors, a “3-meter” bandage 3 meters long, which would also be worth putting in quotation marks - some kind of scree, not a bandage!

The triangle of the MOB-0308 model we have already met. It is a normal product. SamZPO fire extinguisher is also not new to our sample. The cable released by TPF "Mobile" has a different article - MOV-1008, and this decided the case: its length is 4.23 m, enough. Hooks in place, no flags, as usual. It is probably the best in terms of material quality and workmanship, but, alas, rags will have to be hung again. The first-aid kit of the NPF “Miral” is not the first time for us to unwind. We do not expect miracles, they are not there: the same 3 m instead of seven, the same terrifying quality of gauze.
