But the ergonomically well-known interior is perceived in a completely different way. The secret is in the details. Among the larger ones are seats. They were re-designed for the 408th. As a result, the landing at the wheel and the front passenger has become higher, and at the backs the lateral support is more developed. Particular attention is paid to the rear riders: for them are wide doorways, a spacious, high-set sofa and a really great distance for the legs. Almost a business class! With a 150-horsepower turbocharged engine and a 6-speed adaptive “automatic”, the 408th is not at all phlegmatic. This is not to say that the dynamics are explosive, but decent for a solid family sedan. The suspension is omnivorous, with rather big moves, and the energy intensity allows you to skip without braking such holes and bumps in your native roads that even the adapted 308th hatchback has to bow to. Anyway, with the smoothness of the 408th, everything is in order. The steering wheel is sharp and rather tight. Informative - more than enough: kaldobinki no, no and even twitch it, checking the driver’s grip. On the top 17-inch low-profile wheels, the car is “nervous” in the asphalt track. But in general, the directional stability at altitude, the dynamic rolls are quite small, and the buildup of the body is practically absent. On a level road, the sedan is so confident that it’s not long to get carried away and rudely violate the speed limit.
