A little cheaper, for 4100 rubles, you can buy a ContiVikingContact 5. Our results suggest that these tires are in place. True, in terms of price / quality ratio (4.6) this purchase is slightly less profitable.

But Michelin X-Ice 2 in the price contest is in the best position: 3900 rubles. Value for money, equal to 4.2, the most attractive in the first three. We believe that the cost of this tire is underestimated on purpose, since there is already a new model on the market - the third-generation Michelin X-Ice. It was officially introduced last winter outside of Russia, postponing the official presentation of the new items for almost a year.

In fourth place is Goodyear UltraGrip Ice + for 3, 560 rubles. apiece (we believe that the price is too high - a fee for a high brand). Value for money - 4.1.

Fifth in the financial ranking follows Bridgestone Blizzak Revo GZ - 3520 rubles. A tire is cheaper by a little. Having earned 892 points in our tests, she was in fourth place with an even more attractive price / quality ratio of 4.0.

Quite close in price (3, 500 rubles), but already in sixth place is the next tire - Pirelli Winter IceControl. In the final table also takes sixth place with 846 points. We believe that they should sell it a little cheaper: now the price / quality index is 4.1 - like the stronger Goodyear.

Yokohama iceGUARD iG35 for 3, 400 rubles. in seventh place, although the test showed the eighth result, gaining only 820 points. If you buy, then there are those who are willing to pay for the inscription Made in Japan.

Nizhnekamsk Viatti Brina scored 816 points and took ninth place. A tire with a foreign name at a price of only 2600 rubles. apiece should sell well, local marketers say. We wish them good luck.

The cheapest tire is the Cordiant Polar SL for 2500 re. And in the test, she took seventh place, even ahead of the Japanese product. In our opinion, 826 points with a price / quality ratio of 3.0 is a result worthy of attention.

Nokian Hakkapeliitta 7 for 6, 600 rubles. ahead of the rest. Expensive, but well-deserved, because these are the best tires in our test: 929 points. Value for money is also "leading" - 7.1.

In second place is ContiIceContact. The difference with the winner is 200 rubles. ("Conti" costs 6400 rubles.) And 4 points give a decrease in the price / quality index to 6.9.

The third place is taken by the Goodyear UltraGrip Ice Arctic novelty - rightly, since the tire is clearly from the leaders. It can be bought already for 5500 rubles.

Michelin X-Ice North 2 is sold a little cheaper - for 5400 rubles. The cost is even slightly underestimated, because in our tests XIN 2 scored 923 points, the price / quality ratio is the most attractive in the leading three of the test: 5.9.

Another 100 rubles. cheaper Gislaved NordFrost 5 (5300 rubles). According to the test results, the tire scored 905 points, taking sixth place. Value for money 5.9 is equivalent to Michelin. “Gislaved” loves our people, and therefore does not spare money.

In sixth place, the Bridgestone Ice Cruiser 7000 for 5250 rubles. In our tests, this model was able to take only eighth place, gaining 855 points. The price / quality ratio is 6.1 - more than that of Michelin and Gislavaeda.

In seventh position is the Pirelli Winter Carving Edge, which can be bought for 5200 rubles. We recommend these tires, because in the tests they were in fourth place, gaining 918 points. And with such a cost, the price / quality indicator is the most attractive in the first six of the test: 5.7.

Following Yokohama iceGUARD iG35 - and, as usual, with a small gap in price with a "bridge": sold for 5100 rubles. The place in the price list is close to the one occupied in our test, but the price / quality ratio is overvalued: 6.1.

In a completely different price category (4, 500 rubles) they are selling the new Hankook i-Pike RS. A decent tire that took a big step forward from the previous model and scored 886 points. Almost very close to the turn of 900 points, distinguishing very good tires from others. The price / quality index is 5.1 - it's worth a closer look.

Nearby no less worthy Nordman 4 Russian-made, offer for only 4400 rubles., That is, for two-thirds of the price of the leading older brother. Meanwhile, in our final list, “Nordman” occupies the fifth (!) Position. The price / quality ratio beckons - 4.8. Good offer.

For 4000 rub. You will find Cordiant Polar 2. The place in the price rating corresponds to the layout we received, although the price / quality ratio (5.0) is less attractive than that of Nordman.

Closes the parade of popular tires "Kama-Euro 519": only 3, 500 rubles., - The last place in our test. Buying a tire with a price / quality ratio of 4.3 will not be ruinous for the most modest budget.

Weak on ice in all directions - in acceleration, cornering and braking. In the snow, they are more accommodating: they keep turns worse than others, accelerate weakly, but slow down well - on a par with the Nokian! Stability on a snowy road leaves much to be desired: the car is tangibly scouring, requiring steering. Keeping the right direction is prevented by low information content - the steering wheel is almost empty by force. In fast corners, the first reaction is good, although steering angles are large. The transition to the slip is soft, the set trajectory is kept, however, here too the driver will be saddened by an excessively light, empty steering wheel.

They do not like snowdrifts - if necessary, it is better to overcome them with a course, without turns and stops. They refuse to change direction, only pulling is possible. When slipping, they strive to burrow, they are reluctantly selected back. On an asphalt straight line, the car runs smoothly only during acceleration. At a constant speed, it floats, demanding relentless adjustment, to which it reacts by unpleasant steering of the rear axle.

They brake slightly on a dry road, on a wet one - worse than everyone. Uncomfortable: they make noise loudly, and with increasing speed, they are stronger. They transmit tremors from medium and large road irregularities, vibrate on small ones. Fuel is consumed medium at any speed.

On a snowy line they scour a little, take the car from a given direction, pulling it into deeper snow. Manageability is mediocre: the car does not obey the steering wheel and strives to straighten the trajectory, slipping out into the bend. Skidding occurs only if provoked, but well compensated.

In deep snow he moves uncertainly, and only with a certain degree of slipping. Refuses to turn, slides into a rut or to where there is less resistance. It runs smoothly on the asphalt, but annoying when adjusting the direction. At small angles, the steering wheel is very sluggish, but with an increase in the angle of rotation, the car abruptly changes direction to a larger angle than required.

Braking is stable on both dry and wet asphalt, the braking distance is medium. It is quite comfortable: quiet on any road, only on the comb itch slightly. Shudder and small shocks from small irregularities are transmitted. They do not consume excess fuel, but they do not allow saving.

In corners, the behavior is unstable. In the initial phase, an unpleasant skid more often occurs, which can be compensated by the addition of gas. When you turn the steering wheel, its information content decreases sharply, literally falls. No one knows how it will end - one has to fight either with demolition or with drift.

The same uncertainty in deep snow. They move well only on the verge of slipping. Slipping at the moment of starting is especially dangerous: it leads to instillation. On the other hand, maneuvers are given without tension, in reverse the car is confidently selected. They run smoothly on the pavement, the reactions when adjusting the direction are clear. But here, the rear axle does not allow the driver to relax, taxiing after the actions of the steering wheel. This gives the car a delayed oversteer.

Braking on both dry and wet roads is weak. You cannot call quiet tires - they publish an increased hum. Shocks are transmitted to the body from medium and large irregularities, vibrate on small ones. Fuel consumption is above average at any speed.

The transition to the glide is soft, the trajectory can be set and corrected by both the steering wheel and gas. There is practically no skid; in the limit, the whole car begins to slide out.

They don’t want to overcome deep snow. They move reluctantly forward, even trying to burrow in motion. Well, at least in reverse. They resemble summer tires on the pavement - a tight steering wheel in the near-zero zone, excellent informativeness and a clear adherence to a given direction.

Braking is surprisingly weak on wet and the weakest on dry asphalt. The noise is increased, the vibration load is high - the company pays little attention to comfort. They roll not very willingly - fuel consumption is increased at any speed.

They differ from those who are left behind in a good balance: all characteristics, albeit not leadership, but even on any of the coatings that you will find on our roads in winter. For example, on ice both in the longitudinal and transverse directions showed average results. In the snow, they are not so good: acceleration and lateral grip are average, but slightly weak braking. At high speed, they walk smoothly in the snow, but there is not enough information on the steering wheel. There is also a lack of confidence in cornering. At the entrance, a noticeable delay in the reactions forces the steering wheel to be turned unnecessarily. For this reason, in the initial phase of the turn, the car goes into demolition, demanding to discharge gas. And on the arc of turning strives to break into a skid, which, fortunately, is easily countered.

Snowdrifts overcome without tension, they go forward confidently, do not bury when moving, but they do not like to skid much. Slightly scour the asphalt on transverse bumps, they respond to taxiing with a slight delay. As for the noise, there are no complaints, even on rough asphalt they roll quietly. But on convex bumps, they decently shake the car and transmit vibrations from seams, cracks and microroughnesses of the road.

They brake medium, without showing preference for dry or wet coating. At a speed of 60 km / h they help to save fuel, at 90 km / h they look average from this point of view.

They transmit vibrations from small irregularities, road joints pass hard, causing the car to tremble. They make noise, crunch unpleasantly and buzz in slippery turns when they find something to catch on.

They brake best on wet pavement. Yes, and on dry show good results. At a speed of 60 km / h, the most economical ones (along with Goodyear, Michelin and Nokian), at 90 km / h do not require too much.

Сугробы не для этих шин: в глубоком снегу застревают, что называется, на ровном месте. При троганье проваливаются, норовят закопаться. Задним ходом двигаются неуверенно. По идеальному асфальту едут ровно, но на наших дорогах такой встречается не часто. Поэтому требуется постоянная корректировка направления, которая осложнена задержками в реакциях и неприятным подруливанием задней оси.

Срывы в скольжения в поворотах резковаты, машина скользит дольше, чем хотелось бы, но восстановление сцепления мягкое и плавное.

Производятся с 2006 года, с того же времени продаются в России. На льду могут похвастаться неплохим балансом: тормозят и поворачивают хорошо, разгоняются средне. На снегу сцепные свойства в любом направлении средние - тоже хорошо. По заснеженной прямой идут ровно, не требуя подруливания. В поворотах на льду и укатанном снегу радуют четкими реакциями и очень мягким переходом в скольжения. Однако на рыхлом снегу на дуге возникает резкий занос, требующий от водителя четких парирующих действий.

Глубокий снег не жалуют, уверенно двигаются лишь по свежевыпавшему пухляку. Если снег чуть плотнее, слежавшийся, ехать можно только внатяг, без пробуксовки. По асфальтовой прямой машина идет ровно, реакции на изменение курса незамедлительные, разве что информативности на руле чуть не хватает.

Торможение просто блеск: и на мокром, и на сухом асфальте шины останавливаются отлично. Шумовой фон повышенный, как и у большинства «шиповок», а к плавности хода претензий нет - все дорожные неровности хорошо сглаживают. Самые прожорливые при любой скорости. Величина выступания шипов и темп ее роста за время тестов оптимальны. Потеряли пару шипов из передних колес.

Сугробов не боятся: достаточно прибавить газу, и машина пойдет туда, куда повёрнут руль. Задним ходом выбирается без проблем. По асфальту идут ровно, но при корректировке курса ощутима задержка в реакциях и пустоватый руль.

Тормозят на сухом асфальте средне, на мокром - хорошо. Громко шумят протектором и шипами, особенно от 40 до 60 км/ч. Плавность хода можно назвать хорошей, не будь небольших вибраций от мелких неровностей. Расход топлива средний при любой скорости. Периодически им обновляют конструкцию, шипы и состав смеси, оставляя «лицо» неизменным. Последние новшества позволили «Карвингу» влиться в лидирующую группу. На льду продольные сцепные свойства средние, а поперечное сцепление самое высокое. На снегу сцепные свойства хороши во всех направлениях. На заснеженной дороге держат курс отменно. Машина идет как стрела и чутко реагирует даже на небольшие повороты плотной, высокоинформативной баранки. Повороты прописывают с огоньком. Четкое, понятное управление, чуткие реакции на малейший поворот руля. В пределе скорость ограничена мягким и плавным заносом, погасить который можно небольшим добавлением газа или поворотом руля. Скольжение быстрое, но мягко стабилизируется.

Сугробы преодолевают легко, при старте не закапываются, едут и внатяг, и с буксованием, легко маневрируют. На асфальте идут ровно, корректировать направление помогает четкий «ноль».

Тормозят на мокром покрытии средне, на сухом хорошо. Традиционно не балуют комфортом: шумят, словно самолет пролетает, встряхивают на любых неровностях, будто перекачаны. Скорее всего, низкий уровень комфорта - своеобразная плата за удовольствие управлять автомобилем на зимней дороге. Топливо расходуется средне при любой скорости. Величина выступания шипов и темп их роста за время тестов оптимальны. Потерь нет.

Единственные из сегодняшних лидеров используют шипы с круглым сердечником. На льду продольные сцепные свойства средние, поперечные - хорошие. На снегу расклад чуть иной: продольное сцепление хорошее, а поперечное - средней руки. По заснеженной дороге несут машину ровно и стабильно. Реакции при коррекции курса - без замечаний. В поворотах поведение четкое и понятное. Скорость чаще всего ограничена мягким сносом, но автомобиль хорошо реагирует на доворот руля и старается удержать задаваемую траекторию.

Даже в скольжениях он не выходит из-под контроля водителя. Можно не только прошивать снежные сугробы насквозь, но и легко в них маневрировать, останавливаться и вновь трогаться. Если остановил машину - чуть сдал назад и поехал дальше. Выбраться задним ходом удается всегда. На асфальте курсовая устойчивость хорошая, «ноль» четкий, руль плотный - шины практически как летние.

Тормозят на сухом асфальте хорошо, на мокром - средне. Уровень шума повышенный, на твердом покрытии явственно слышен гул шипов, особенно в диапазоне 60–90 км/ч. Плавность хода без замечаний - хорошо гасят любые неровности. Топливо экономят во всех скоростных режимах - и при 60, и при 90 км/ч. Выступание шипов и темп изменения величины выступа в норме. За время обкатки и тестов не потерян ни один шип.

Since the same year, sold in Russia. It differs from other tires in the “diamond” shape of the studs. On ice, traction is good in all directions. On snow, the same thing - both longitudinal and lateral grip at a high level. On a snowy road they allow you to drive fast, carry the car evenly. But the information content on the steering wheel is insufficient. In corners, the demolition of the front axle prevails. Skidding, if any, occurs gently and smoothly and is eliminated without much difficulty.

In deep snow they go well only with intensive slipping, but this mode is uninformative. If you dig in, reverse will not help. They walk smoothly along the asphalt, the steering wheel is tight, the “zero” is clear, and reactions when adjusting the direction are immediate.

They brake better on wet asphalt than others; on dry, average results are shown, along with Gislaved. Noisy spikes loudly on hard surface - both on ice and on asphalt, especially loudly from 70 to 90 km / h. Quite tough: they transmit vibrations from road bumps to the body floor, seat and steering wheel. Fuel consumption is average at any speed. The protrusion of the spikes within the optimal value. Spikes are held in rubber very reliably.

They are constantly being updated, which allows them to stay in the lead. The best longitudinal grip properties were demonstrated on ice, while the transverse ones were average. In the snow - the best acceleration, good braking and a corner in the corners. On a snowy road go smoothly, without comment. The steering wheel is tight, the reactions are clear. In corners, the speed is limited by a soft, helping drift, which is most easily eliminated by a small amount of gas. Even in slides, the car obeys the driver’s commands, restores the trajectory gently and smoothly.

In deep snow they move confidently, maneuver well, move away without the desire to burrow. Any mode: from the professional movement of the pretensioners, without turning the wheels, to the "blonde" "gas to the floor." Very well selected in reverse. The movement on the asphalt is smooth, but the rear axle unpleasantly steers when adjusting.

Braking on dry asphalt is weak, on wet - medium. Comfort is not perfect: a clear noise of thorns on asphalt and smooth ice, tremors from road irregularities, especially convex. Economical at any speed. The size of the protrusion of the spikes is close to the limit of reason. Nevertheless, the average protrusion during the test changed only 0.1 mm, which means that the studs in the rubber hold firmly.

We could not calculate the final points, because in braking on snow Ice Arctic beat the best serial tire, which we took in the calculations for the “base”. On ice, high longitudinal adhesion properties, and transverse - medium. In the snow - super braking, very good acceleration and medium lateral grip. On a snowy road, they scour lightly, with a delay in responding to directional adjustments. In fast corners, the behavior is mixed. In the initial phase, at the stage of entering the turn, there is a noticeable delay in the reactions, leading to the demolition of the front axle. After the clutch is restored, already on the arc, there is a high probability of a drift, which must be compensated by the steering wheel and the addition of gas at the same time. After sliding, the clutch is restored quite sharply, provoking a shooting drift to the other side.

The concept of "deep snow" for these tires does not exist. Help the car to escape from the snow captivity was never needed. On the asphalt, they significantly swim from side to side, requiring constant adjustment. Very wide “zero”, delayed steering action.

They brake well on wet asphalt, and average on dry. They hustle on average irregularities, buzz strongly with the tread and spikes. The size of the spikes is at the limit. However, the change in the protrusion during the tests of only one "ten" suggests that the spikes are fixed tightly.
