Having settled in, I realized: this is not so. Hi-tech devices are easy to read, all the button keys are arranged logically, the seats are tailored well, as is the multifunction steering wheel adjustable in two directions. It’s quite a ready-to-wear - for everyone!

The manufacturer is proud that, despite the reduction in wheelbase by 30 mm, the inside has not become crowded. Space, they say, was even added. The length of the passenger compartment was increased by 10 mm, the width in the shoulder area - by 75 mm, the stock of legroom for the rear passengers grew immediately by 40 mm. Only for some reason I didn’t feel all this: in the second row, according to my feelings, it became even closer. And when shifting gears, the lever kept hitting the passenger’s knee. But in the increase in trunk volume up to 440 liters (50 liters more than before), I readily believe: the compartment is really roomy. Although many competitors have it even more.

But in some ways, Civic has an advantage over all rivals: it has a 1.8-liter engine in its base. There is nothing to trifle! The atmospheric gasoline engine, well-known by its predecessor, added a couple of “horses” due to the reduction of friction losses and the new control program and develops 142 hp. From now on, it should be started not with a key, but with a button. You can not look at the tachometer - there is always enough traction. Cheerful, peppy accelerations succeed "Civic" completely effortlessly in any of the six gears. In general, with regard to dynamics, I experienced, as they said in the past, a feeling of deep satisfaction. Which, however, was overshadowed by the high level of noise, which began to annoy already at 70 km / h. And if you were driving a hundred, you had to raise your voice, talking with a neighbor. Wheel arches are not sufficiently isolated - it was from there that an unpleasant hum came. For a car priced from 750, 000 rubles, this is rather strange. Moreover, the new “Civic” is presented as a more comfortable car than the previous one. In this regard, the Corolla and the Jetta were recorded as competitors.

In addition to noise, there is nothing to complain about. On far from everywhere ideal Turkish roads, the sedan proved to be great. Even where the asphalt resembled a washboard, comfort in the cabin was at its best. Shaking and vibration did not annoy. I especially liked the smooth and silent operation of the pendants: even on serious irregularities, they were silent. By the way, if the hatchback has an elastic beam at the back, then for the sedan they chose a more advanced design - multi-link. With her, not only more comfortable, she also improves handling.

He appreciated it when he moved down a wide direct highway onto a secondary desert mountain path. That's where you can frolic! In such conditions, the “Civic” proved to be the best: to the last stood on the trajectory, tilted to the best and surprised with a light but informative steering wheel. Instead of a hydraulic one, an electric amplifier is now used - this solution, they say, has reduced fuel consumption by 1.8%. Improved body aerodynamics and weight reduction also contributed to the increase in efficiency. "Civic", according to factory data, reduced appetite by 5% compared with its predecessor.
