At first glance, it’s no harder to deal with motors - the 135-horsepower 2-liter “four” according to the technical specifications most fully reflects the essence of the new SUV, which is significantly heavier than the “Logan” donor. In the absence of a downshift, this particular motor should best level out the lack of torque on the bottoms.
But in fact, it turns out that the box, correctly cut into six gears, has a short first one, which makes it possible even with the 102-horsepower 1.6-liter engine to endure the hardships of suburban outings to nature. And in the city, at least up to 80 km / h, the Duster 1.6 will not be quiet, allowing the driver to enjoy driving.

Such a “Duster” and country speeds up to 120 km / h are not shy, although in this case it becomes very gluttonous and quite noisy. However, these shortcomings are more than covered by 40 thousand rubles. lower price. So it is precisely the 1.6-liter engine that we will consider optimal.
But those who absolutely need an automatic transmission will have to choose a 2-liter. True, due to the fact that the “automatic” is not yet compatible with the 4x4 transmission, the “Duster-2.0AT” is only slightly more expensive than 1.6-4WD-MT.

Finally, we consider a more expensive diesel modification suitable for those who have annual mileage approaching 100 thousand km and have a warm garage, because even the current, not the coldest winter in the absence of a guaranteed high-quality diesel fuel has once again proved the capriciousness of such engines.
Choosing a complete set, it is better to immediately sweep away the base Otentik. And the matter is not only in meager equipment - only driver air-bag, ABS and power steering. Worse, the additional benefits of, say, air conditioning and heated front seats are not available to the buyer of this version even for a surcharge.

And yet, in our opinion, the "Expression" is suitable only for those who are indifferent to coolness in the summer heat or who wish to receive a modification with a 1.6 liter engine and front-wheel drive. Because the version of Privilege, which stands a notch higher, is only 39, 000 rubles more expensive, but already has the two above-mentioned options, which means that the gap is actually narrowing to insignificant 7, 500 rubles. That is why it is Privilege that should be recognized as optimal.
In "Lux-Privilege" for 60 000 rubles there are alloy wheels, a leather interior, an extended power accessories and a quartet of pillows. But only additional air-bags can be called really necessary, which you will also receive in Privilege for a surcharge.
So, we take the all-wheel drive “Duster-1, 6MT-Privilege” as the basis. At the same time, we would like the car to remain accessible and not go much beyond 600 thousand rubles.
