The machine is built on Lada 4 × 4 units as a light, highly walkable vehicle to support military operations. Its task is to carry fighters and light weapons. And though money is not the main thing in war, but after completing a task, such a machine may have to be thrown onto the battlefield. So, it should be inexpensive. Therefore, it does not have air conditioning, velor in the seats, "music" and other accessories. Well, God bless them - a fighter from such a machine does not need “smiling lines”, but reliability, survivability, ease of repair and lightness. If you go camping tomorrow, you will have to push it out of the folds of the terrain with our own muscular strength. So, all the attention is on the tactical and technical characteristics. Let's see how the fulfillment of a combat mission is seen from the windows of warm offices of the Bronto Design Bureau.

Instead of a windshield - a sheet of plastic; the only janitor and lack of heater - for the sake of economy. But at the same time, disc brakes on all wheels! Why are they moody in the mud, a combat vehicle? And the rear suspension, assembled from the front parts, is nonsense for the “rogue”. Its only plus is independent. There are more minuses: the stroke is shorter than that of the standard rear, fifty millimeters, which means that the diagonal hanging on this car will begin earlier than on the old Lada 4 × 4 with the same wheelbase of 2200 mm. Yes, and clearance for serious off-road is clearly not enough. However, we will try - the car, the road and the terrain are at our disposal.
Doors - tarpaulin with zippers and Velcro. There are no complaints about the rigidity of the instrument panel - due to the lack of the panel itself. Heating is not among the options either. However, after the first hundred meters I understand that up to minus ten my internal heat is enough: even on a regular road the buggy is hotter than any stove! And now let's do the off-road maneuver. This confirms the doubts that arose during the inspection of the machine. Strongly rugged terrain is best overcome by running, as the wheels are hung out alternately, losing contact with the ground. But we must pay tribute - URA does not stop. Self-locking differentials of bridges save. Crunchy, but keep the torque on the wheels remaining in contact with the ground, help the machine move forward.

In more "flat" conditions it is easier. A field covered with snow, a steep slippery hill do not cause any difficulties, you just need to pick up speed. Without breaking through tall thick grass and bushes - also no problem! Here you are not afraid to scratch the polished sides, and from this you feel much bolder and more confident than in any comfortable all-terrain vehicle.
The car has a good cross, although I would increase the clearance by another 100-150 mm. Then you can not be afraid that, landing after the jump, you will catch some bump under the bottom. And it would be nice to increase the suspension a half times in order to reduce the likelihood of hanging the wheels on the roads.
Whether the military will be interested in this project, I can’t say, is very much reminiscent of a homemade product from the club of young technicians of the 1980s, but it is fully suitable for the role of a machine for outdoor activities. The developers say that fishermen and hunters have already laid eyes on her. As if interested in it, and adventure lovers who see in the car … a high-capacity ATV. But I think the estimated price will limit demand.
