Lynx

The list of options includes an expeditionary roof rack with additional headlights, a sunroof with a removable cover, a winch with a quick-detachable mount that allows you to install it both front and rear, imported tires and the main pairs with a gear ratio of 4.44: 1.
Niva "Lynx"

In addition, you can order shafts with CV joints instead of traditional crosspieces, air conditioning, additional thermal and noise insulation, a pre-heater and a good audio system.
Front suspension

In the front suspension, the springs are set stiffer, and the body rises slightly higher. Clearance under the front axle cross member 260 mm. Front and rear instead of serial shock absorbers, longer-stroke ones were used - from Chevrolet Niva. They increase the suspension travel by 10-15 mm due to rebound.
Wheel

For off-road, it is better to have large wheels - here are the Yaroslavl I-569 size 235 / 75R15 instead of the regular 185 / 70R16. An increase in the outer diameter per inch gives an increase in ground clearance of 12–13 mm. A wider tread - better support patency, a higher profile - better ride. Alloy wheels, from the Bryansk "Megalyum", with a reach of 15 mm (standard - 58 mm). With such, the inner sidewall of the wide tire remains in the same place, but the wheels protrude from the arches.
Wheel arches

In order for the large wheels to fit in the arches, their edges are trimmed. The front flanges are rolled, and the rear flanges are welded anew. A little higher, rubber expanders are attached to them, protecting the body from splashes lifted by widely spaced wheels.
Rear axle beam

The rear axle beam is reinforced with a U-shaped box. The brackets of the suspension rods and the spring cups were transferred to it. In addition to increasing strength, this solution allowed to raise the body by another 38 mm. Given the large wheels, the total lift at the rear was 50 mm. The main pair (3.9: 1) is replaced by a shorter one - 4.1: 1. Thanks to this, the torque on the wheels and the accuracy of the speedometer are preserved.
Cross-axle differentials

Free cross-axle differentials give way to self-locking, screw type, production "Valraising". The blocking coefficient is 0.65. This helps in cross-country ability, and does not spoil handling.
Coloring “camouflage” with an original pattern on each copy

Coloring “camouflage” with an original pattern on each copy of the car is an expensive option, since it requires complete disassembly of the car.
A CAT WALKS HIMSELF
Such cars are mainly bought by enthusiastic people - fishermen, hunters - and those for whom an off-road hobby is a hobby: oil and gas workers, employees of administrations in remote areas and the Ministry of Emergencies. The car is available in several versions.
Lynx-1 was made on the basis of the short Lada 4 × 4 model 21214 (approximately two-thirds of the production volume, that is 30–35 units per month).
"Lynx-2" is made of five-door "Lada-2131". These machines can also be obtained with an increased roof height.
Lynx's emphasis is shifted towards improving all-terrain qualities. On the highway, the front suspension seems unnecessarily stiff, and the steering wheel has a very wide “zero” - the high supple sidewalls of the tires affect it. The toothy tread is buzzing loudly, the car is scouring for bumps, and in order to keep it, you have to constantly steer.
On impassability on the smoothness of the ride and "kidding" on the bumps, this Niva remotely resembles an UAZ. But in terms of traction capabilities and geometric cross-country ability, the short “Lynx” will probably give him a head start! Tires confidently cling to the ground, and even if one of the wheels is hung out, the car continues to move confidently - self-locking differentials will not leave the three remaining on the ground without traction. Even an intentional stop with a wheel hanging in the air goes without consequences - you can start off without any tension.
