The new AvtoVAZ model will receive a four-stage "automatic" Japanese brand Jatco. Since the late nineties, this manufacturer of transmissions has actually been owned by Nissan, which owns an 80% stake in Jatco - it is easy to assume that Renault shareholders were “advised” of the transmission by Togliatti. However, the RE4F03 model unit has one indisputable advantage - a low price. After all, this box is not one of the modern ones - it was put into production exactly twenty years ago, and since then its different versions can be found on Nissan models such as Note, Tiida or Almera Classic. The production of Granta with an automatic transmission will begin in the second half of next year, and such vehicles should arrive at the turn of 2012 and 2013 to first buyers. At the same time, there will be “Kalina” with automatic transmission - this model will receive a new box in the process of updating. How much the first machine with an “automatic” in the history of a domestic brand will cost is still unknown.

At the Interauto exhibition, prices were announced for two of the three trim levels of the Granta model. Already in the simplest configuration, which will be called the “Standard”, the Togliatti novelty will receive a driver's airbag and space for fastening Isofix child seats - the base price of this configuration will be 229, 000 rubles. AvtoVAZ marketers make the main bid (according to the predicted forecasts - up to 70% of sales) for the average Norma package, the buyer of which will receive an electric power steering, a height-adjustable steering column, a central lock, front electric windows and an on-board computer for 256, 000 rubles. In addition, the Norma bumpers will be painted in body color - while the Standard bumpers are unpainted.

The most expensive “Lux” equipment includes an airbag for the front passenger, heated front seats and a separate rear back, power windows for all doors and power mirrors (also equipped with heating), air conditioning and anti-lock brakes. Of the eye-pleasing features, alloy wheels (14 inches in diameter), body-colored mirrors and door moldings can be called. The exact price of this configuration has not yet been determined - but representatives of the plant mention that the base price will exceed 300, 000 rubles.

The power of the engines that will be equipped with Granta is from 80 to 98 hp. In these eighteen “horses” three power units are stacked at once, all with a volume of 1.6 liters. These are two versions of an eight-valve engine - with a capacity of 80 and 90 forces (the first of them, as representatives of the plant promise, will consume 7.2 liters per 100 km in mixed mode) and a sixteen-valve engine with a capacity of 98 hp. Acceleration to hundreds of different versions of the Granta model will take from 11.8 to 12.5 seconds. In all three versions, the amount of harmful emissions corresponds to the Euro 4 standard. According to the president of AvtoVAZ, the assembly of a new model (which, according to its creators, should become the successor of the Togliatti “classic”) can be organized not only in Togliatti, but also in factory in Izhevsk.

The second hero of the Togliatti exposition is an inexpensive Lada Largus station wagon, built on a common platform with Logan, equipped with a French engine and having much in common with a popular budget sedan in terms of interior design. At Interauto, two opposing versions of the car were presented - a van (the declared base price for it was 310, 000 rubles) and a seven-seater station wagon.

However, in the cheapest equipment “Standard” (from 342, 000 rubles), only the five-door version will be available, which will have a driver's airbag and the ability to adjust the steering column (in height). In the “Norma” package, the station wagon boasts an anti-lock braking system, power steering, front electric windows and a central lock. The set of options included in the richest set of "Lux" almost completely coincides with the same list for the Granta model - except that Largus will receive adjustment of the front seats in height.
