It is very important that both engines consume A92 gasoline. Consumption in combined mode for a 1.4 engine is 5.9 l / 100 km, for a 1.6 engine - 6 l / 100 km. Both engines can work both in combination with a 5-speed manual and a 4-speed automatic transmission.
At a training ground in Korea, the ability to ride and understand the behavior of the car was quite strictly limited in time. Nevertheless, the first impression was made.
Of course, it is hard to expect breathtaking acceleration performance from a car with a 1.4-liter engine. But overall the impression is positive. According to factory data, the Rio with a manual gearbox develops a speed of 0 to 100 km / h in a decent 11.5 seconds, and this seems to be true.

My first meeting with the new Rio turned out to be short: a kilometer in a straight line in one direction, a kilometer before a turn in the other. But back to the training ground. The combination of a MacPherson-type front suspension with an elastic beam at the rear of the Rio has proven itself in dozens of similar cars and higher class cars. The settings of the chassis, and I noticed this, are different from the settings of Solaris. Kia experts sitting in the cabin argue that the new Rio will have a more sporty behavior typical of European models. Well, imitating a permutation - Rio is doing great, the attendants nod with satisfaction. I spin the engine up to 6000 rpm, but I don’t bring it to the cut-off and, what’s nice, I note that even in this peak mode, the cabin is quite quiet and you can easily talk.
