Look, the design of the car has become challenging … no, not even cocky! The hatchback is especially good: thanks to the door handles disguised in the racks, it looks like a sports three-door. Adds external muscularity and is installed in a regular manner (which is not for your sake!) A spoiler over the rear window.
The sedan also turned out. Finally, in this segment we learned how to make cute four-door bodies. The real find in the guise is headlights, two glasses with chrome trim, and a separate block of turn signals. Looks great! However, due to the lack of common glass, the “inter-glass” space is guaranteed to become clogged with dirt, and it is difficult to clean it.
But away from doubt, rather drive! And it does not matter that the doors are closed with an inexpensive ringing sound. The main thing is that the interior design is not one iota inferior in appearance in terms of extravagance and youthful spirit.

Indeed, the interior looks dashing, and yet I will not dare to call it a revelation: too many elements are already known by other models of the concern. A funny analog-digital dashboard in a motorcycle style is borrowed from the little Spark. The sweeping center console pretty much resembles that of the Cruise. A three-spoke multifunction steering wheel with a characteristic hub has been installed for a long time not only on the Chevrolet, but also on the Cadillacs (although in the latter it is trimmed with magnificent leather).
Pleased with the interior and the spaciousness: on the back of the couch even the accelerators will not feel crowded. And the front is free, you do not push your elbows with the passenger. With practicality, too, everything is in order. There is not one, but two glove compartments at once (USB and AUX inputs are hidden in the bowels of the upper), three cup holders, and convenient pull-out drawers are hidden under the seats. The competition does not.

Before distributing the keys, the organizers strictly forbidden to violate the speed limit. Like, in Switzerland they are strictly punished for this. Recently, one of them had to pay a fine for exceeding the limit by only 1 km / h! After such a warning, I dumbly asked for the keys to the basic version, which had a modest 1.2-liter engine at its disposal. And not disappointed!
Looking ahead: this modification is most liked. She is the most honest! Confident and smooth acceleration - you always know what to expect from a car. There wasn’t enough traction except on the hoist lifts, where the Aveo lost speed. On the same slides, the model with the 1.4-liter engine did not lose its course, but under normal conditions it did not seem faster. This is with mechanics. With a gun, the dynamics are frankly sluggish. Even at speeds up to 60 km / h, acceleration seems strained, and after that it is completely phlegmatic. Apparently, too heavy a burden for such a power unit.
But there are no special complaints to the machine itself.

A six-speed gearbox (a rarity in this class) changes gears in a timely manner and without jerking. She also has a manual mode, and they control it with a key located on the transmission selector. In principle, convenient, but unsafe. I would prefer the buttons to stand on the steering wheel - it is better to hold on to it with two hands. And one more thing: for fear of overturning the engine, the electronics do not allow switching down, even when another 1, 500 rpm is still up to the tachometer red zone. Are you too reinsured?
For dessert, I decided to ride on a version with a 1.6-liter 115-horsepower engine. Honestly, I expected more from the flagship Aveo. Acceleration - without a spark. There is a lot of noise, little use. You will be disappointed if you decide to buy this modification for a quick ride. By the way, the chassis of the model is able to digest a much more powerful motor. A dense, but not stiff suspension, moderately sharp steering, small banks - on the winding highway Aveo showed himself well done. I also liked the chairs: seemingly unpretentious, but very comfortable and tenacious. You can’t slip out of them in corners.
