Security gadgets

With a computer…
The idea of electronic warning "locomotives" was realized by programmers at the University of Italian Bologna. The software will allow cars to communicate with each other via radio waves and notify their drivers about emergencies at the travel rate.
On-board sensors of a car in an accident register that the car is in trouble. An alarm immediately flies to a vehicle running behind, to the next one and further along the chain. In a few moments, all cars at a distance of a kilometer will receive alarming information.
An analysis of computer models that simulate pre-emergency situations in heavy traffic flows showed that with the help of software the likelihood of accidents and steam locomotives and the formation of traffic jams is reduced by 40%. Toyota allegedly began to create "iron" for implantation in the design of cars, it will begin to test in the coming months.
You can probably rely on Toyota’s assessment: if its experts accepted the development as useful, then it’s worth it. However, you must understand that the very 40% of the benefits of the future gadget will appear after all, or at least a lot of cars are equipped with the device, and who will communicate in the traffic stream. Until then, you will have to use, and many will learn, the existing warning technology.
… and manually
As you all know, the driving mode on German autobahns is not limited, so the risk of getting into a traffic accident is huge. In a recent car test on the roads of this country, we saw what kind of "antidote" to accidents used by local.
Mutual driver assistance

The driver closest to the accident (or traffic congestion) immediately turns on the emergency gang as soon as it applies intensive, and even more so emergency braking. Locals know that, having seen this signal, one must immediately do the same - and slow down, and turn on the "emergency lights" in order to warn subsequent cars.
We were convinced from our own experience that the method works efficiently (it is also used in some other European countries, not only in Germany), it gives additional confidence to the person driving.
In addition, in an intense stream, motorists feel solidarity with each other: in a simple way, everyone protects not only themselves, but also others from incidents. With the beginning of the application of the "Bologna gadget" this feeling will disappear. But we are already getting used to the fact that "and we have an electric samovar" …
