Before last year's restyling, the gasoline versions of Santa Fe were equipped with a 2.8 liter V6 engine, but then, in the spirit of the now trendy “downsizing,” the volume and number of cylinders were reduced to 4 and 2.4 liters, respectively. Power decreased from 189 to 174 hp, and the maximum torque - from 248 to 226 Nm, but the car did not lose dynamics: acceleration to 100 km / h still takes 11.7 s, and traction control has become even more convenient - all thanks to the new 6-speed “automatic”. Gear shifts in most cases occur discreetly and on time, and only with sharp acceleration from the course small jerks are noticeable. Fuel consumption, of course, has decreased, but as before, it is far from passport indicators and in the combined cycle is 10–11 liters per 100 kilometers (with a V6 engine it was about 12 liters, so there really is progress).

However, it didn’t do without negative changes - for some reason, on post-styling cars the suspension became stiffer, and now even on the harmless road junctions of the Garden Ring Santa Fe winces with his whole body. Improved handling? Most likely, this: a high crossover now rolls less in corners and more accurately responds to steering actions. But the brakes have not changed, and when fully loaded, they still lack efficiency a bit.
