Before starting work, you should remove the standard soft sound insulation (if any), degrease the treated surface of the body.
Before proceeding with gluing with a vibration isolator, it is necessary to knock down all the bulges from the modest patches of the standard vibration isolation. In the trunk there are a lot of complex relief elements, therefore, in order to save forces and materials, you can limit yourself to applying vibration to flat surfaces. It is more convenient to cut the vibroplast into pieces of about 10x25 cm, and to adjust the final size of the strips already in place (photo 1).

We cover the arches and the inner space of the sidewalls with the Bomb bimast, everything else, including the trunk floor and the rear, with the Gold vibroplast. To achieve the best result, it is best to glue the pieces of the vibra, as far as possible, without gaps. According to the experience of craftsmen, three sheets of Golda will completely go to the trunk floor and the rear of the cabin, this is with a 70 percent coverage (photo 2). If the weather is cool, you can use a construction hairdryer to heat the self-adhesive surface of the vibra. The material then sticks in … but it gets too hot - you need to protect your fingers.

Further, the entire space is drawn in by the Splen 3004 noise and heat insulator. The main rule is to glue the material so that there are no gaps (photo 3).
It is better to wrap the wiring with bitoplast. It also does not hurt to stick it on all areas where the mating parts can creak or knock.

Separate painstaking processing will require elements of plastic sheathing of sills, arches, shelf holders and lining of the trunk lock, which on the inside have many stiffeners. Vibra must be glued strictly between ribs on flat sections, it is advisable to do the same with bitoplast (so it will not puff).
Carefully, so as not to break the caps or their mounts, remove the fifth door trim. The technology of its vibration and noise isolation is essentially the same. But you do not need to apply a lot of “Silver” to the door trim, plus, as the practice of unsuccessful assembly has shown, some places cannot be glued at all (in photo 4 they are circled by a dotted line and a cross). With bitoplast similarly: it is not recommended to process the sides and ledges.

Now the door itself. There is much more space for creativity. First, we glue the entire internal cavity (where we reach with our hands) from the side of the street “Silver” and a little from the side of the trunk, then we lay bitoplast from the heart (photo 5). Next, we tighten the technological holes with Splen so that the heat does not go away, and the residual sound, on the contrary, does not get into the cabin. But it is not recommended to cover with this material the areas near the holes for fasteners and the edge on the side of the trunk lock (photo 6). Finally, all wires and their latches must be wrapped with bitoplast - they are very musical!

On a note
First, a little theory. Vibration absorbing materials are applied directly to the metal. It is better to use a special metal roller for installation. Rolling should be carried out from the center to the edges of the material, to eliminate air bubbles - in these places there may be foci of corrosion.
Depending on the type of vibration isolator, a different body area is glued. In case of application of vibroplasts: visomats - 60–80%, bimast - 40–60% of the area. Greater coverage does not give a tangible result, on the contrary, the vibrational material itself can begin to resonate and create a hum. The emphasis is on flat body elements. Soundproofing materials are applied over vibration-absorbing materials.

- for reassembly - 1.5 hours.
