43% of the families surveyed already have a car, and 5% have two or more cars. The highest share of “motorized” residents is in Moscow and St. Petersburg (52%). Among those who do not have a car, rural residents predominate (60%). Although their own vehicle just would not hurt.
Every 20th said that he was going to buy a car this year, but in general almost one in six (15%) is threatened with such a purchase. Among car owners, 18% (almost every fifth) would like to exchange for a new one, among “horseless” such 14%. After comparing the data, the conclusion suggests itself that the bulk of the people did not become richer: over the past six months, the number of those who are not going to buy a car has increased from 76 to 80%.

Nevertheless, over the past five years there have been more dreams of a foreign car: new - 19% in 2006 and 32% - in the current; used - 24 and 30%, respectively. Noteworthy is the following figure: the number of fans of domestic cars decreased from 22% (in 2009) to 15% (in this). Another 9% of respondents intend to buy a used Russian car.
Car loan is becoming more and more popular, and even buying from a neighbor. 38% of potential buyers plan to use the help of banks (two years ago there were 30%). The share of those who do not want to overpay on a loan, but prefer to borrow from relatives or friends, also increased - from 6 to 12%. And another 15% would like to get behind their own wheel, but they don’t even know where to get the money. But these, “undecided,” almost two times less in two years.
The survey was conducted in 138 settlements of 46 regions of the Russian Federation, 1, 600 respondents were interviewed, representing all population groups.
