M4

The scale of work that our road builders deployed on the M4 highway is impressive, and their volumes are growing from year to year. Still, after less than three years, thousands of sports fans from all over the world will go to Sochi for the games of the Winter Olympics on this road, and by then it should comply with all world standards! Now every summer hundreds of road cars bite into the asphalt. Alas, the construction season almost coincides with the holiday season, so the main work will unfold in summer and autumn …
So, this year, builders are going to build 84 km of the highway in the Lipetsk region, overhaul and expand 59 km of the highway in the Tula and Voronezh regions, as well as two overpasses, one bridge and 14 km of the highway in the Krasnodar Territory. And also repair 254 km of canvas along the entire highway, 24 bridges and overpasses (schedule and terms of work are in the table). In fact, this is not all objects, but only those for which, by the beginning of March 2011, contracts for construction and repair work had been concluded.
This year, five more will be added to the existing 50-km paid site in the Lipetsk region (bypassing Zadonsk and Khlevnoy). At the beginning of autumn, the long-awaited detour of Yelets in the Lipetsk Region will open - east of the city there will be a 60 km long expressway. You will have to pay for the opportunity to fly this distance with a breeze. But there remains an alternative - the old road through the city, famous for its traffic jams and meticulous traffic cops.
A little later, at the end of autumn, four more paid high-speed sections will be introduced. Three of them are city bypasses: Bogoroditsk (225–260 km) and Efremova (294–321 km) in the Tula region and Yarkino (330–355 km) in Lipetsk. In addition, a small segment of the route in the Krasnodar Territory, in the Goryachiy Klyuch region (1171–1185 km), will become fast (and paid); it will be completed this summer.
Motorists already know two future paid sites, because they were commissioned last year (bypasses of Bogoroditsk and Efremov). But keep in mind: after a small repair this summer they will be closed, put up barriers and … However, for those who know how and love to count money, there remains a free travel option - through settlements, along the old Don highway.
OUR HELP
