Lightning and his friend Mater, a rusty tow truck from an American outback, set off on an exciting journey. The main characters assemble a whole team of professional mechanics, specialists in their own security, logistics, sports fuel and tires. The whole company is waiting for the tracks of Japan, Italy and France.

In the course of the dizzying tour, the heroes fall into the very center of the world espionage conspiracy (the master is mistaken for a deeply secretive American agent), and most importantly, they get acquainted with a whole host of new characters! These are the British special agents, and the villain-professor with their henchmen, and international terrorists - what would it be today without them! - And the European relatives of our heroes, and, of course, competitors of Lightning McQueen in the struggle for the main racing prize.

Apart from the shorts of the series “Tales of the Meter” that followed the main “Cars”, several years have passed since our last meeting with the heroes. And not only in life, but also in parallel, cartoonish reality. In June 2011, when we finally enjoy watching “Wheelbarrows-2”, it turns out that Lightning McQuinn already has four Big Piston cups on his account. As we recall, his idol and one of the main characters of the past cartoon - veteran Doc Hudson voiced in the Russian version by Armen Dzhigarkhanyan - won only three such cups half a century ago. That is, the student surpassed his teacher. True, Doc Hudson does not appear in the new cartoon, which leads to sad thoughts about the frailty of all things.

The second consideration concerns the new possibilities of animation: judging by the trailer that appeared on the Web, Pixar studio again, like Lightning McQueen himself, proves that she has no equal in her work. The characters of "Wheelbarrow-2" are as vivid as this definition generally applies to such characters.
