There are more and more cars with diesel engines of Euro 4 and higher class on our roads, and adequate fuel is required for them: if you fill in the usual, you will destroy the engine. Not to say that there is no suitable at all - Lukoil has already launched such a product on the market. However, there is never much good. And then, with the unpredictability of everything and everything in the country, it is possible that tension will arise with “power” for extra-class cars. Remember the statistics: even in a crisis, when auto sales fell totally, premium cars sold out no worse than in the "full" time.
Thus, Ultimate Diesel is not a reverence towards a wealthy public, but a market calculation. This fuel is intended for luxurious (in this case, technically) cars that do not like “simple food”. But it is useful not only to them. More about this below.

Wound up and a splitter
We will compare Ultimate-Diesel with conventional diesel fuel. By this word we must understand the most common - that according to the properties corresponds to the current standard of the Russian Federation, but no more.
The current standard for the target number of diesel fuel is 40–45 units. In the summer "Altimeyta" it is 51, in the winter - 53. Regarding the winter: with it the engine starts in frosts of 26–27ºC.
Slowdown as a virtue
The new diesel fuel has less sulfur (50 ppm versus 350 ppm allowed by the standard): this means that less soot and tar deposits will form in the engine's life support systems. Another figure: the company's new fuel is four times cleaner than conventional diesel fuel.
But experts will say: less sulfur - lower lubricating properties of fuel. No, they will not get worse. The developers introduced a lubricating modifier component, with which the size of the contact spot remained the same.

Another working component is a multifunctional additive. Its component is an inhibitor (i.e., a moderator) of corrosion. But in fact, the additive is not just a moderator - it is washing. There is a patent
So that car owners do not suspect BP that the product already includes well-known detergents, which means that there is nothing special in fuel, the director of the trading department, Alexander Akkerman, made a statement. The detergent additive was not borrowed, but was developed by scientists specifically for Ultimate Diesel, it has a unique composition, the formula of which is patented. This is the know-how of the company.
Treat old people fresh
It is not forbidden to use it (specifically for cleaning systems) in old machines with unpretentious engines of the Euro 1 - Euro 3 class, which for years have been eating what is called a solarium. Naturally, a layer of deposits was formed in them. The effect will come, however, not immediately. After the first or second tank, complications are even probable - the motor will start working unstably, or it will even stall. This is because coking will begin to exfoliate and, most likely, clog nozzles. This dirt will have to be removed. But in the end, flushing will give a result: after 700 km of run, as shown by tests (the engine was periodically disassembled, the dirt was weighed), most of the deposits disappear. What is worth a lot.
Bonus - half a mile away
The company, as follows from the press release, tested the fuel by pouring it into different cars of various brands. Tests have shown that the distance that can be traveled on a single tank (with a capacity of 60–70 liters) increases, compared with the use of conventional diesel fuel, by an average of 11 km. In some cases, up to 33 km. That is, with an annual mileage of 18, 000 km, 560 are saved. We will know the price - we will calculate how much it is in rubles.
And yet, that - that money can not be measured. Bench tests of BP Ultimate-Diesel gave an average power increase of 2.8%, in some cases it increased by 8%. The same number of cars accelerated faster from 0 to 100 km / h. Engines instantly respond to the gas pedal, work more smoothly, add to throttle response.

Asphalt, lanes, snowy roads entered the program of our 600-kilometer journalistic run on Ultimate Diesel. The thrill of riding perfectly coincided with what was said above. But it is impossible to make objective comparisons for the reader with what would happen to cars on a conventional diesel engine. From the beginning to the end of the journey, the organizers of the run filled only Ultimate in the tanks of test 3- and 4.2-liter cars.
It is permissible to make only an assumption: powerful luxury cars behaved so impeccably that they could not do without the influence of excellent fuel.
But it’s hard not to trust the facts provided by BP. On its own initiative, the company involved the Russian Association of Automotive Engineers in testing the fuel. Tests were carried out at the stands and laboratories of specialized centers of Germany, in which Ultimate Diesel was driven in the same manner as the products of other world manufacturers.
