Renault Logan

The life span of the replaceable element of the air filter measured by the regulation is 15 thousand kilometers. If you have to operate the machine on dusty roads, reduce this interval by 1.5–2 times. If the filter is deformed or damaged, change it immediately. A heavily soiled element can lead to increased wear and engine power.

The cost of the original air filter is 500-700 rubles, fuel - 550-750 rubles. The cost of the original air filter is 500-700 rubles, fuel - 550-750 rubles.
Change the air filter element
step 1
Renault Logan

To remove the replacement element, unfasten the four spring clips.
step 2

Using a Phillips screwdriver, unscrew the five screws securing the air filter cover.
Self-tapping screws cannot be removed from the cover.

step 4
… and carefully, so as not to drop dirt into the nozzle of the throttle assembly, we remove the replaceable element from the filter housing.

Having cleaned the body cavity from contaminants, we install a new replaceable element and an air filter cover.
Change the fuel filter
On Logan, manufactured until mid-2007, a remote fuel filter is located under the tank. He was later moved to the tank. All of the following applies to machines with an external filter.
In accordance with the maintenance regulations, the fuel filter must be replaced after 120 thousand kilometers. But given the poor quality of domestic gasoline, we recommend reducing the interval to 45 thousand km.
It is best to start work 2-3 hours after the engine stops, by then the pressure in the fuel system will be gone. Do not want to wait? Then disconnect the wiring harness block from the fuel module cover connector. We start the engine and let it idle to a stop due to fuel exhaustion. Then we turn on the starter for 3-4 seconds, after which the pressure in the fuel system will be relieved.
In any case, a portion of gasoline will remain in the fuel pipes and filter, so prepare a small container, which we will promptly substitute under the replaceable filter.

Similarly, remove the tip of the fuel supply pipe to the filter from another filter nozzle.
step 3
We take out the filter from the clamp …

… and merge the remaining fuel from it into a container.
step 4
Install the new filter in the reverse order.
The arrow on the filter housing must match the direction of fuel flow. We put the tips of the tee and fuel tube on the filter fittings until the clips snap into place.
If necessary (if the pressure in the fuel system was vented by the express method), we connect the wiring harness block to the connector of the fuel module cover.
We connect the wire terminal to the "negative" terminal of the battery.
To fill the system with fuel, turn on the ignition. At the same time, the sound of a running fuel pump will be heard for 2–4 seconds. When the pump turns off, we check the tightness of the connections of the tips and the filter. We replace the tee and fuel pipe with damaged tips, faulty clamps and a filter with an unpressurized housing with new ones.

On a note
When working with elements of the fuel system, do not forget about fire safety measures! Do not smoke. Do not approach the machine with an open fire, etc. Before proceeding with the filter replacement, disconnect the wire terminal from the “negative” battery terminal.
Recommendation: on “synthetics” without problems
With all the advantages of synthetic motor oil, switching to it from a mineral water can be painful for a car.
Motor oil

Problems usually arise in cases where poor-quality oil was previously poured into the engine, the recommended replacement intervals were violated, or the oil for some reason turned out to be flavored with coolant, special additives, etc. All this leads to the formation of significant deposits on the internal surfaces of the engine. In contrast to mineral oils, which wash away “slags” gradually, layer by layer, “synthetics” (due to its inherent high fluidity and penetrating ability) acts more radically. As a result, thrombi of sediments can come off, which can clog the oil receiver grids, oil channels and put the engine into oil starvation mode.
