The test began "dry", and by mid-day clouds were gathering over the track and it was snowing. However, the vagaries of the weather only added adrenaline to the races. On wet pavement, STi reveals its talents even more clearly. As for the dry road, here I have a feeling of "domesticated" sports car, especially the version with automatic transmission. Even in the mode of sharp response of the engine to the gas pedal (Sport Sharp), the machine is controlled very clearly both on high-speed arcs and in slow corners. Feline reactions are smooth and soft, but not slow! Everything is reliable and predictable. The version with "mechanics", of course, allows you to attack turns more aggressively. However, here everything is civilly adapted and does not conceal special surprises inherent in sports cars. As soon as the snow slightly wetted the track, it became possible to test the car in a light glide. The version with the “mechanics” in such conditions liked, of course, more: the car is obedient in demolition and returns to straightforward movement just as calmly. The help of electronics is hardly perceptible. However, I can tell opponents of forced intervention that all electronic systems (except ABS) are easily turned off with the Off button. At first, the car with the automatic transmission even frightened it with a pronounced demolition of the front axle: it categorically did not want to fit into slow turns, and in understeering it was clearly felt understeer.

Perhaps it is a matter of reactions to changes in traction, and weight distribution. After a couple of circles I managed to get used to, reducing my ardor. Nevertheless, I emphasize that the car is very obedient to drive and, importantly, adapted for sports tracks and for everyday use.
