To replace the oil in the engine, remove the protection of the engine compartment - in it, which is bad, there are no openings for access to the drain plug and filter. Perhaps, instead of the standard plastic sheet on your machine, there is a non-original, power, where such holes are available, but we are considering the basic version.

We unscrew the five “12” turnkey bolts and remove two pistons in addition. In any case, take care of your eyes: no matter what the protection is, a lot of dirt strives to crumble from it. We turn off the cork with the “17” key, and the filter with any of the known pullers, there is enough room for maneuver here.

Before changing antifreeze, stock up on a new radiator drain plug. Being plastic, it coarsens over time, and it is rarely possible to securely wrap it in place. If there is no new plug, then it is better not to touch the old one at all, but to drain the liquid through the lower radiator pipe, having previously removed the clamp.

Here are also located near the hoses of the AKP heat exchanger, through which dealers change the oil using a special installation (ATF Fluid Charger). By connecting the same hoses to it, at the same time they remove the old oil through one of them and pour fresh through the other. It turns out quickly, but wastefully - you have to drive one and a half to two volumes of oil through the system. Therefore, some experts use a different technique, which we recommend. Moreover, this installation is not needed - the pump of the box itself will play its role.

We do this: remove the lower hose from the heat exchanger and, starting the engine, put the selector in position “N” (neutral). Let the engine work, but only at idle and not more than a minute. If all oil has leaked earlier (air bubbles have appeared), immediately turn off the engine! It is important not to miss this moment, otherwise even a short oil starvation can harm the unit. Therefore, it is better to crank the engine with the starter, turning out the candles and disconnecting the ignition and power circuits (for this we take out the corresponding relays and fuses). Of course, after each ten-second scroll, let the starter cool down, otherwise it will simply burn. Drain the remaining oil from the box by unscrewing the plug in the crankcase. Then we put the plug back in place (tightening torque 32 Nm) and fill in fresh oil through the dipstick tube.

Now we start the engine, let it warm up and, moving the selector lever in all positions with a two-second delay in each of them, leave it in the “N” position. Without stopping the engine, we check the level: on a heated unit, it should be in the “HOT” range, marked on the tip of the probe. Keep in mind that both low and high levels are detrimental to the unit, since in both cases the oil will foam.

With the oil change in the manual gearbox, everything is much simpler, handle without prompts. Nothing complicated with gears. Moving from the front to the back, do not forget to extrude a single cross. It may be necessary to disconnect the flange of the cardan so that you can open the hinge at a sufficient angle and get the tip of the syringe to the grease fitting.

On the V6, everything is much more complicated, since access to the rear head (the motor stands laterally) is, to put it mildly, useless - you need to remove the intake manifold. However, not necessarily completely. It is enough to lift it after you turn off the fasteners, and fix it in this position, substituting a screwdriver, for example, under the "spider". Now, wielding a composite tool, at least change the candles. Some go the other way - they remove the frill and the wiper mechanism. But we repeat: that on the forehead, that on the forehead - is very troublesome.

The air filter was dealt with quickly. True, it happens that the element firmly sticks to the body - in this case, carefully separate it with a screwdriver. On V6, check in completeness the tightening of the corrugation collar to the throttle assembly, otherwise, due to the slightest suction of air, the engine will start to mope.

But then things went more fun. Because the pump flange is attached to the tank on ordinary nuts (no special key is needed), and removing a filter element cartridge is no more difficult than usual. The main thing is to work warm, so as not to break off the plastic latches of the pump housing.

Attached units drive three belts, and none of them has an automatic tensioner. And this is bad, because for lack of experience it is easy to make a mistake with the setting. If you are confident in your abilities, remove the protection of the engine compartment (see above) and the right mud guard - down with another four “10” turnkey bolts. Then access to the tension roller of the air conditioning compressor will open.

Worst of all, with access to the lead screw of the generator - what's on top, what's on the bottom has to work by touch. In general, for these operations we significantly reduce the score. But these works, whatever one may say, will have to be done when replacing the timing drive.

The only task is to remove the support of the power unit, without which the covers of the housings, and the belt itself cannot be removed. But then - without any oddities: on all the pulleys there are fixing pins and marks, which make it possible to assemble the drive uniquely, and the tension pulley is equipped with a semi-automatic tensioner. It is important only after the first adjustment to turn the crankshaft a couple of revolutions and check the tension a second time. Usually, when the belt finally settles, adjustment is required.
