Before the onset of the next winter, Paul realized that a little time would pass, and the VAZ would require large investments, so he decided to prevent this event and change the domestic car to an imported one. I chose from three models: Mazda3, Mitsubishi Lancer and Ford Focus II. The latter was liked more than others by the convenience of landing, and friends helped to buy a 2-liter sedan in the top configuration Ghia without long waiting. It was in October 2007.

For better handling, I changed the springs to the Eibach Pro-kit with an understatement of 35 mm, the standard shock absorbers - to the Bilstein B6. Work with the exhaust system turned out to be big and complicated: the owner dreamed of a “double exhaust” with pipes on both sides and turned to the U-Power masters specializing in exhaust systems. They installed an equal-length exhaust manifold, pipes of increased diameter, a sports resonator and, as the customer demanded, “wiring” on two sides. The "spider" was wrapped with ThermoTec thermal tape, probably in the expectation of further modifications. By the way, this is what happened: recently Pavel did chip tuning, changing the engine control program to B-Tuning's S-Line MAX.

Power increased to 165 hp. (in the standard version - 145 forces), the torque reached 212 N.m at 4000 rpm. According to the subjective impressions of the owner himself, the Focus became more sensitive to the gas pedal, accelerates more easily, the previous lethargy at low revs disappeared. In general, fifteen thousand is not a pity.

The car body was adorned with a BMW 3-series (E46) lime spoiler that fits perfectly on the trunk lid, small “cilia” on the headlights and a KPMF vinyl film with the “chameleon” effect (purple-gold color in the catalog), which was used to tighten the front bumper, hood, roof, trunk lid and rear view mirror housings. In the near future, Pavel plans to change the rear bumper and dashboard, put a “washer” sensor and fan nozzles with heating. Components have already been purchased and are just waiting in the wings. And there are also plans to replace the front bumper with a bumper from the Focus convertible, door sills, install better “music”, 3D Carbon plastic parts of interior parts, strut struts… But most importantly, Pavel admitted that he was planning serious modifications to the power unit: implementation of the system boost or even replace the engine with a 5-cylinder 2.5-liter turbo engine from ST. And although he is generally happy with his sprint results, they can be even better. However, the installation of a 225-horsepower engine will lead to new alterations. The car owner is ready for such a development.
