The car audio season in Russia traditionally closes the SPL club. And this year, traditions have not changed. The competitive marathon ended with the final stages, as usual, simultaneously in three cities: Cheboksary, Ryazan and Stavropol.

The stage of unlimited sound pressure (SPL) in the regional center was organized by the Stavropol studios Bluzmobil and Space. Since the stage was purely technical, without show programs, mainly professionals from the south of Russia gathered from the site: from Stavropol, Mikhailovsk, Pyatigorsk, Krasnodar, Anapa, Sochi, Rostov-on-Don, Taganrog. There were also distant guests - from Voronezh and Poltava.

The first participants appeared on the site already at 5 in the morning - the athletes were obviously impatient to enter the battle. However, registration, as stipulated by the regulations, began only at 9.00, and from 10 hours measurements began.

Our compatriot Alexander Kharchenko was the first to leave the site, setting a benchmark of over 148 dB! But Alexander himself was dissatisfied with this result: something clearly went wrong in the settings. His VAZ-2113 hastily left the site to tidy the equipment.

Well, then it went on increasing - and the tension of the final fight in the season, and the results of athletes. The speeches of the espiellers were accompanied by approving or disappointed exclamations. What to do - sport is sport.

This year, according to the rules of the SPL club, champions and prize-winners in classes were determined by the maximum rating accumulated during the competition season, and at the final stages there were several contenders for the champion title. These are Krasnodar residents Oleg Panikin, who performed in the "Bas-Pro 2" class, and Sergey Krokhin, who secured ahead of schedule the championship in the "Bas 2" class, and the Sound Drive team from Anapa, who also won the Extreme 1-2 class in advance. Applicants confirmed a high level - they all won in their categories.

Moreover, two record results were recorded at the Stavropol site. One of them was issued by Krasnodar Alexander Akhmadeev (class "Bas-Super 2") - 151.4 dB. The whole country lived in anticipation of the second record. The fact is that the Sound Drive team from Anapa regularly updated Russia’s records in the Extreme 1-2 class during the season, and, of course, at the final stage everyone expected from the “Anapa armored car”, as they called the formidable “Oka”, a new record.

And now the moment of truth has come - “Oka” rolls out onto the platform. The judge installs a sensor of the measuring complex in the cabin and closes the doors. Team members begin to tighten the car with straps so that not a single fraction of the precious decibel will slip out. At some point, one of the belts comes off! The voltage reaches its climax … Measurement showed 162.7 dB - a new record has taken place!
