"Autocitizen" is built on the principle of compensation for damage, and its full repair, as a rule, is not enough. There are two reasons - the cost of spare parts is compensated for taking into account wear and tear, and the price of materials and labor intensity are calculated according to average statistics, because unified prices remained in the socialist past. But you also need to run after these hard-earned money - to collect papers, get an expert opinion and (God forbid!) A court decision. After the reckoning, the insurer washes his hands - in this case, his concern for restoring mobility does not concern him. There is a law, there will be customers! Therefore, the quality of the repair depends entirely on the choice of the victim: lucky - no luck.

The voluntary policyholder is treated differently. He is a free bird, which is not so - he instantly flies to a competitor. At his disposal are an emergency commissioner (someone who will help to properly navigate the scene of an accident) and a free tow truck. In fact, the owner of the CASCO policy can only get into an accident - the insurance company will do the rest for him. She herself, of course, does not repair cars, preferring to conclude contracts with specialized services. For STO, this is a gift of fate: thanks to stable guaranteed orders, “Tinsmith Day” lasts all year round! True, not everyone succeeds in meeting, because the insurer is a moody client.

So, the station must accept an emergency car at any time of the day - who wants to pay for a simple, expensive tow truck! It is desirable that the accumulation site be of an impressive size - the assessment of the cost of repairs and the receipt of spare parts require considerable (from several days to six months) time. The reason is the tough position of the customer. On the one hand, it is categorically against non-branded parts - both the quality is dubious and the fitting in place often takes a lot of time. On the other hand, the original logo is expensive, and money loves an account. As a result, products come from the original source, but under its own, and not the automaker's brand (say, not Mercedes, but Bosch, etc.), which costs 15–20% cheaper. But the most important requirement is the modern technical level of service stations, because advanced technologies require much less than standard hours! We visited one of the "insurance" stations and went through the technological chain.

A decent workshop starts with a sink. Moreover, even severely broken specimens are subjected to the mandatory procedure. The reason is obvious - damage is better visible on a clean surface, and much less dirt gets into the workshop. Then the emergency car, loaded on trolleys, is taken to troubleshooting. Before disassembling the affected area, the master checks the process technology stored in the computer database - without knowing the ford, you can break a lot of firewood! A full list of damage is sent to the supply department, where they determine the strategy for subsequent repairs. Having agreed on the cost and volume with the insurance company, the service station issues an order for spare parts and, having received them, proceeds with restoration.

Geometry violations are fixed on the slipway. In "our" service, the device frames are walled up in concrete at the floor level - the scheme provides the necessary rigidity of the system and, in addition, allows you to install the car directly from the wheels. Mobile power towers equipped with hydraulic cylinders are capable of tearing any passenger car to shreds - the effort on the working body reaches eleven tons! Quality, of course, depends on the skill of the performer, but speed and convenience are at the right height.

Local damage is corrected in the old fashion - supports, hammers and spotters (the latter is the symbiosis of spot welding and a reverse hammer). Vacuum devices here do not favor for an unpredictable result. Let us explain: upon impact, the paintwork stretches along with the metal, and during editing it may peel off slightly or give microcracks. If everything is left as is, the result will certainly come out. Hammer surfaces are much more reliable in this sense. To connect the panels, contact welding is used, having previously missed the joint with conductive soil. He does not interfere with the process, and resists crevice corrosion. For aluminum parts, a special approach is needed - a protective gas mixture, for example, is purchased at one of the research institutes. Pure argon is too capricious - it’s a burnout, then lack of fusion. Plastic surfaces are returned to their shape, but holes and cracks are not sealed - unreliable. Contrary to popular belief, plastic is not much more expensive than metal and buying new parts is by no means ruinous. Having eliminated all the flaws, the body is assembled in draft, that is, all previously removed parts are installed, except for glasses and fittings. They do this to check the quality of repairs - fitting parts, the uniformity of gaps, etc. Then they disassemble the car again - surface preparation and painting are carried out in parts, because otherwise the parts cannot be selected from the inside!

The sequence for applying a protective and decorative coating now looks like this: putty (on bare metal with a layer of no more than 1 mm), a filler, soil, base, paint (paint), varnish. They grind surfaces exclusively dry, since such a technology provides a number of serious advantages. Firstly, it is easy to remove dry dust with a vacuum cleaner, secondly, the process speed increases (water acts as a lubricant) and, thirdly, internal corrosion is excluded.

] In a modern car service, they can’t do without colorists. Of course, the color can also be selected using a computer program, but only the human eye can take into account all the nuances. They paint the car in a special chamber at a temperature of 25 ° C, dry it there, but at 60 ° C. A higher threshold is fraught with trouble - heat destructively affects plastic. These details are generally more capricious than steel ones - they require special painting materials and often differ in shade. The latter does not depend on the quality of work - it is difficult to create an electrostatic field on such a surface, which is why the “metallic” flakes fall flat. But you can reproduce the factory shagreen without difficulty - you just need to pick up the pressure in the spray gun. Airbrushing is in demand too - exclusive in its own way protects against theft.

Complete assembly repair, mandatory wheel alignment and headlight adjustment, as well as refueling the air conditioner. Additional anticorrosion will be done only if it is indicated in the insurance contract, or for a surcharge (obligatory paid in the recovery process).

A well-repaired car should completely restore consumer qualities, because now the loss of presentation is not paid!

Of course, everyone is free to choose a method of insurance on their own. But if it comes to repair - take a closer look, where are CASCO repaired. Quality does not depend on the type of insurance.
