The commercial success of this car is impressive. More than 5 million Peugeot 206 hatchbacks are now running on roads around the world. Peugeot designers realized their ideas at the Iran-Khodro enterprise, which has been producing the 405 model since 1988 and 206 hatchbacks since 2001. They plan to sell the smallest Peugeot sedans in Iran and thirteen neighboring countries, including Russia.

On the eve of the start of sales and our acquaintance took place; for the test, a traditional Russian route was laid - from Moscow to the banks of the Volga, to Uglich and Yaroslavl. A trip to our roads on a specific car in the Russian configuration can tell about the car, probably more than the longest voyage on the impeccable roads of foreign countries. With the advent of the trunk, something else very important happened … It seems that in the eyes of compatriots the 206th ceases to be a purely female avtomobilchik. Otherwise, how can one explain the meaningful reasoning of the same gentleman from Uglich that, they say, one can even use this “already”?

NOT ON THE SMOOTH TRACK

While traveling from Moscow via Taldom to Uglich, the route was of a European level. Then my “lion cub” got to know the roads worse. But his paws did not part and did not tremble. Regardless of the state of the coating, it behaves very correctly. To the best of the sensitive steering wheel allows you to comfortably and clearly drive the car along the selected path. Of course, by virtue of a different weight category, the sedan should not be compared with the representative 607th, from which he borrowed forms, but belonging to the “lion's pride” made him stay cool. The Peugeot 206 Sedan received a stiffer suspension from the station wagon, and so it’s harsh with an empty trunk. But it is worth it to load and put behind one or two passengers, as it becomes "soft and fluffy."

True, no one talked about comfort in the cabin and ride at the same time.

The sedan is 350 mm longer than the hatchback. The trunk length has increased by the same amount, where one and a half meter longs can be put with the rear back folded down. The trunk itself has grown in volume by 139 liters.

But the “evil” brakes on the budget versions of the car lack an anti-lock system: they had to be careful about the first snowball.

Speaking of security. All configurations include airbags for the driver and front passenger, all five seats are equipped with three-point belts, there are Isofix mounts for child seats, an open door alarm. And the doors themselves are equipped with deformable inserts.

As you can see, the “Levushka” came to Russia well-trained and with a beautiful bag. And in it, no, not the trunk, but the luggage has everything you need to become an interesting offer in the segment of compact sedans.
