The car, of course, is not a yard … But after winter colds, dirt and reagents, it also needs a clean-up. And if a trip to a full-service car wash is not for you, then let's get started. With one small caveat. There are a great variety of cleaners. Many of them were (others will be) presented in the journal. Here are just a few examples of fairly fresh preparations for the main stages of our “community work day”.
MEET ON CLOTHES …
In our case, the bodywork. For the next wash, you will first need a car shampoo, but when you see a bigger and smaller package for the same price, do not rush. Any car shampoo, as you know, is a concentrate, before being "consumed" without fail diluted with water. Large volume is not yet an indicator of its capabilities. If you look closely, on any package a self-respecting manufacturer will name the approximate number of sinks the product is designed for.
The composition of car shampoo, designed to remove dirt, traces of insects and other muck, is naturally selected so as not to provoke damage to the paint or corrosion. Of course, to use non-core household tools instead is worthless. In addition, a number of shampoos are produced with protective components - such as wax. They will add shine, and create a protective film to everything else.
From the “clothes” of the car, we also single out “shoes” - wheels. In the image of the car, they play an increasingly important role, but are located at the same time in one of the most vulnerable places. It is no coincidence that preparations for their cleaning have a more active composition. The bulk of these cleaners are foam. Their main advantage is that the foam does not drain from vertical surfaces, which means that it can well soak up impurities. It is worth remembering that the disks are different, and the means for cleaning them are not always universal.
What else can look so pleasing as a clean and sparkling car? For this, as we know, there is a polish. It forms a protective film and at the same time removes persistent dirt. Most manufacturers offer polish both for fresh coatings and for those who are “aged”. They differ mainly in the abrasive. Hence the different regularity of use. So, read the instructions on the package …
The list of main issues of our “community work day” also refers to safety, more precisely, to clean glasses. This is especially true with the onset of darkness: almost imperceptible plaque from the inside, as well as all kinds of small pollution from the outside when the headlights begin to glare. Needless to say, glass cleaners are needed here.
There is another object for the “subbotnik”. In any car there are a lot of seals and all kinds of moving joints that need periodic maintenance. With the onset of heat, it would be nice to once again process the door, trunk, and sunroof seals (if any). The same applies to the door stop, hinges and everything that can annoy with an unpleasant sound.
PLEASING TO THE EYE
Car interior decoration is now pleasing with its diversity. Do not count the options. Accordingly, modern tools for cleaning the cabin will be enough for the whole range of finishing materials. By the way, almost all cleaners contain flavorings.
Since we started talking about smells, we also mention the problem with bacteria in air conditioning systems. In a car, it can also make itself felt, albeit where on a smaller scale. Nevertheless, "disinfection" does not hurt.
