If in you, friend, athlete’s itch, get out of the way - these things are not for you … They say it’s “utilitarian”. They are for us detailed citizens. Crazy on their joys (well, there is a hunt, to go deeper into the thicket), but they are thorough. This is for our brother in the motorbike showrooms ATV exhibit with huge bags on luggage platforms, cases for guns, powerful winches …

Yes, impressive, but not enough to fork out right away. If I aim to buy something from such a transport, then I’ll try to figure it out to the screw: there are a lot of utilitarian ones, but one money. So I (thank you for the opportunity) will go in all sorts of different ways: on a solid, on a snowy intersection, well, I will give the heat, as I can, on a snowy clearing of the park - for the fun of its regulars.

So, if it’s deeply utilitarian, then at launch you understand that Polaris is equipped with an injection engine. Where, one asks, did he find out? And from there: turning the key (his engine is started not by a button, like most four-wheeled motorcycles, but by turning the key in the ignition) - and the engine instantly started up, it worked smoothly. And I also felt a slight vibration and an instant reaction to pressing the gas lever - and these are clear signs of a two-cylinder injection engine.

Yamaha - this one at the start requires yielding, press the gas. However, the five-valve single-cylinder engine easily “grasps”, so that the launch does not cause difficulties.

I sat on Sportsman, my partner on Grizzly. Go! Keeping up with him on the powerful Polaris was easy. “My” speed gained evenly, without failures and pickups. Unlike Yamaha, in which the engine thrust is transmitted not to four wheels, but to “three and a half” (in the front axle it has a limited-slip differential), on Sportsman in 4WD mode the torque is transmitted to two rear wheels. And when one of them starts to slip, both front come into action. So it seemed that he was riding a rear-wheel drive ATV, especially when, with a sharp pressure on the gas, the rear axle was slightly demolished. On the asphalt road, this, I know, will give an advantage: it is very easy to turn the wheel. Incidentally, he is tall, forms a comfortable fit, his hands are relaxed.
