During this time, "Stalker" has changed significantly. In fact, the only idea left of that car was that machine assemblies and plastic body panels were mounted on a strong and light steel spatial frame. By the way, cars for the famous Paris-Dakar race also do the same. The spatial frame is much more durable than the supporting body. The material ABS / PMMA (acrylonitrile butadiene styrene / polymethyl methacrylate) is comparable in hardness … to glass! In addition, color, so if scratches appear, they will be almost invisible.
To work on the project, LLC SKB Stalker was created, the director and chief designer of which was the author of the idea, Pavel Fedorovich Popov. Through the efforts of the creative team, a car with a closed three-door body is almost ready, a convertible, a cargo van, a pickup truck and an all-wheel drive version on Niva units are on the way. We had a chance to get to know the rear-wheel drive "Stalker-2154".

The engine is an old friend of the VAZ 2121 4 with a displacement of 1.7 liters. High power density makes it easy to get started even in second gear, and acceleration is impressive. Due to its low weight, the Stalker on the move seems tougher than the Lada, although their chassis are the same.
Keeping in mind the limited capabilities of rear-wheel drive, we still tested the car on a dirt road and off-road. Imagine, we were not disappointed - even in this version, the “Stalker” fully complies with the concept of a “pleasure car for outdoor activities” - it easily overcomes small off-road obstacles and gives pleasure to drive.
