Until recently, one of the trump cards of Russian cars remained the price. Other positions - safety, environmental friendliness, reliability - most of our models passed many years ago. But today the price card is a bit: for the price of “tens” or “Kalina” you can buy a new, albeit “half domestic,” but foreign car, the quality of which is almost independent of the calendar.

If you choose among used cars, more than enough offers. But today we’ll talk about an alternative to the new car, so the circle of applicants will be limited to two-year-olds, usually still under warranty. As experience shows, with some exceptions, this age is the heyday, when the resource is far from exhausted, and childhood diseases have already been healed. In addition, such cars, as a rule, are sold not because of problems, but having decided to change the model, often choosing it in another class. Therefore, they easily give at the same time a set of winter tires, almost new (here's another plus buying a car that has been leaving for at least a year).
Many new cars are offered by owners who are disappointed in them. Of course, if you were taken to an Audi or BMW for a whole year, the salon of, say, Nexia will persistently remind you of your shortcomings. But there are also hidden defects, so machines sold in the first year of operation should be watched especially carefully. And it is advisable to find out at the service station what exactly they did with this car.
Another common reason for the sale (in addition to the end of the warranty) is the upcoming “big MOT”. Its cost (with the replacement of the timing belt, brake pads, filters and operating fluids) reaches several hundred dollars, so before you hit your hands, look in the service book.
By the way, for vehicles under warranty, this document should be in perfect order - with notes on the planned maintenance and installation of additional equipment (alarm, radio, hood lock, etc.), otherwise problems may arise with subsequent warranty service. Also require a passport and description of the alarm and other contingency devices.
SMALL AND ESPECIALLY SMALL
The segment of foreign cars up to two years at a price of up to 10 thousand dollars is limited to a golf class and micro. Basically, these are real or former "Koreans" - "Daewoo", "Hyundai", KIA. It is not easy to meet the “Europeans” in this price category: it comes across the Peugeot 206, less often the Skoda Fabia, but the Ford Fiesta or FIAT Panda are generally rare guests on the market. There are many “Tricks I” that are being sold, but, as we have already noted (ЗР, “2005, No. 10, p. 182), prices for two-year plans rarely drop below $ 10, 500.
In the economy class, mainly urban cars gathered like the Daewoo Matiz or Hyundai Getz. The long road and country road are not their element. Better adapted to travel "Daewoo Nexia" and "Renault Clio Symbol." Their trump card is omnivorous, although in modern cars like Goetz it is even advised to fill in 92nd gasoline at dealer stations - spark plugs are less likely to fail with it.
