For a short time, Lada 110 Automatic, equipped with a four-stage hydromechanical “automatic machine”, was at our disposal. By the way, anyone can install one on their car for 60 thousand rubles.
Externally, this “ten” is no different from the serial, and in the cabin changes are not striking. Usually, the “automatic” control selector lever moves along a slot in the floor tunnel, along which mode designations are applied. On our car, the lever “grows” from a conventional cover, and the on mode is displayed on the instrument panel, which is very convenient in motion - there is no need to look from the road to the lever.

To adapt the unit, we developed an installation kit, and the algorithm of the hydromechanical transmission ZF 4HP 14 was changed in accordance with the "tens" characteristics.
The results are encouraging: the car easily and smoothly starts off, confidently accelerates and does not fall out of the dynamic city stream at all. Automatic transmission is able to satisfy the requirements and desires of any driver, allowing you to move smoothly and impressively or abruptly and fussy. Gears are switched at different engine speeds, depending on the acceleration rate. And the kickdown mode is turned on exactly as we would like in each case.
