The first combines through the high-speed digital data bus CAN-BUS usually independently working ABS, ESP, traction control TRC and electric power steering EPS.
The machine can correct the trajectory of movement not only by braking the wheels, but also by steering. In addition, the Toyota will go directly during acceleration, say, in the mud, when the car will take it and look to the side. Active four-wheel drive independently decides what proportion of traction to feed the front or rear wheels, distributing it in ratios from 100: 0 in favor of the front to 55:45 in all-wheel drive mode. The driver can turn off the electronic "brains" and fix the last ratio - a kind of analog blocking the center differential. The new Toyota also has assistant devices (HAC and DAC) that help you move uphill and descend from it even on the most loose ground.
Redesigned pendants. The lower ball joint has been moved forward, improving cornering behavior and driving stability in a straight line. The rear, thanks to the diagonal arrangement of shock absorbers, managed to expand the trunk by 230 mm. But the turning radius, on the contrary, was reduced to 5.1 m - despite the increased body length. Inside, it is noticeably more spacious: passengers were added 150 mm in length, luggage - 25% of the volume. Fans of the RAV4 will certainly enjoy the so-called “easy flat”: with a slight movement of the hand, the seats along with the head restraints turn into a flat floor for cargo.
