Some sources (ZR including) always attributed it to foreign cars, others added to AvtoVAZ products, and still others completely stipulated: โincluding (or excluding) GM-AvtoVAZ JV. The farther, the more confusion could become more, and we decided to operate with a single list. The result is such a picture โฆ
For domestic companies, we provide here data not on production, as before, but on the shipment of goods to dealers. In other words, the plant sold cars, but whether they reached the end customers is still unknown. However, in most cases we obtain the same data from foreign missions. All materials on domestic manufacturers - from the analytical service of the company "ASM-Holding", and on foreign - from their official representative offices. The only assumption is the number of Chevrolet Niva cars sold; we calculated it based on the release figures. For inexplicable reasons, the management of JM-AVTOVAZ JV gives only the total number of cars produced and shipped, refusing to separate the โfieldsโ from the โvivโ.
For the "old" domestic manufacturers, the first half of the year was extremely unfortunate. In January-April, sales almost stopped, and all car factories without exception went into a forced reduction of work shifts and days, or even a temporary stop of production. The worst situation was at IzhAvto, where 23.3 thousand cars were produced in six months (45.9 thousand in the first half of 2004). Reduced production by 50%! As a result, the plant was forced in July to remove from the assembly line its only own model Izh 2126 and all its modifications.
Although our largest manufacturer, AvtoVAZ, did not feel such a decline, it reduced output by 4% and sales by 5.3%, and only in the beginning of summer did the situation stabilize: in June 2005, sales in Russia compared to the corresponding period of the previous year It was increased by 10% - up to 55, 360 units (despite the fact that 55, 084 cars were produced this month).
The situation is not too rosy today at the JM-AvtoVAZ joint venture. As it was reported there, in the first six months of 2005, 28, 290 cars were produced (18% more than in the same period last year - 23, 930 cars), but 22, 640 cars were shipped to dealers. This is 10% less than in the first half of 2004 (24, 861). About 5.7 thousand cars remain unclaimed (monthly production 4.7 thousand).
If anyone increased production (and sold everything!), These were new domestic assembly plants: Vsevolozhsk Ford, Taganrog TagAZ, Kaliningrad Avtotor. Moscow Avtoframos has just begun production of Logan sedans, but even cars not yet assembled have been sold - until October inclusive.
The overall picture of sales for six months is as follows: although the โoldโ domestic manufacturers occupy more than half of the market, their share is reduced: from 73.6% (the first half of 2004) to 61.9%. Losing 11.7% of the market in a year is a serious signal! And the forecast is even more disappointing. The only one holding on is AvtoVAZ (it is so large that it can stand for a long time), but other manufacturers can leave the market very quickly, as it just happened with the IL brand โฆ
